Then you might be our new Chemist for one of our support teams in Insulin Manufacturing I (IM1) in Kalundborg.
About the department
Insulin Manufacturing I (IM1) is one of the largest production sites in Novo Nordisk. More than 25% of the worlds combined supply of insulin is produced here. Our department Utility & Solvents consist of 75 employees who handle supplies of raw materials and solvents for the production. The department is organised in several teams including a support team which main responsibility is the various process and utility plants that supply the four production lines of the factory. We are a team of 33 colleagues with a scientific-, engineer- or technical background.
The position
Our department Utility & Solvents provides support to PS Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient's (API’s) production departments within the areas: Projects, Process optimisation, Troubleshooting and Daily operations.
In this position you should expect to focus on water treatment, clean steam and nitrogen systems, and solvent mixing so any previous knowledge in these areas will benefit you right from the start.
As we support the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) production, your job will be to contribute to continuous stable operations and quality in the production of marketed insulin and GLP-1 analogues.
Your field of work will be documenting and commenting on deviations as well as preparation and maintenance of development documentation, drive Change requests and optimisation of our equipment and processes, systematic problem solving, trend analysis and reporting is another key ingredient in your daily routine.
Furthermore, you will be supporting the production departments with scientific data and engage in professional discussions.
Since the job to a large extent is self-organised, it is very important that you are able to prioritise work assignments. Also, you should be comfortable working in a changing work environment. In this job you can look forward to gaining personal as well as professional development.
Qualifications
You are data-oriented and because of your methodical and structured approach, you build your decisions on firm ground. You are able to accommodate a large array of stakeholder needs while holding your ground on what you know to be right and you never, ever, compromise on quality or safety.
You are ready to take on responsibility and you convey your knowledge and experience with a steady hand. From time to time, your knowledge will be needed in the production or some other part of the organisation and you must have the communicative skills to explain complex problems to colleagues with backgrounds very different from your own.
We expect you to build trustful relations across a large organisation and to competently enjoy being the expert your colleagues can count on for advice and sparring.

Qualifications
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. within chemistry, biochemistry, biology, microbiology or maybe chemical engineering
- Ideally 3-5 years of experience with regulated production
- Good understanding of legislative and quality demands
- Experience within the areas of SRV qualification, GMP and LEAN will be considered an advantage
- Working proficiency in spoken and written Danish
