Novo Nordisk has announced plans to invest more than DKK42 billion to expand existing manufacturing facilities in Kalundborg, to support the current and future company portfolio within serious chronic diseases.
We are hiring colleagues within Process Engineering to join the investment project.
Would you like to join a dynamic global company and work on an exciting new capacity expansion project? Are you interested in the opportunity to establish new active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) manufacturing facilities that bridges new and automated technologies with strong know-how and expertise in biotech manufacturing?
The activities will be carried out at our site in Kalundborg, Novo Nordisk hub for API manufacturing. The Position The position requires a high degree of independence and a desire to set up the processes and equipment for raw materials within fermentation process. Your role as Process scientist/engineer will include: • Professional responsibility for the processes and equipment for raw materials used in fermentation
• Support stakeholders by providing expertise and solutions to secure stable production with the right quality
• Contribute to ongoing optimization of existing processes and equipment. This also entails being curious about how other teams and departments work, bringing new knowledge to the team, and sharing knowledge and collaborate with stakeholders in other teams and departments
• Challenge existing processes in a respectful and constructive way, and to be a professional mentor for colleagues in the team and department
• Provide proactive support within the area of raw materials for fermentation when the facility is up running, ensuring daily operations and equipment always perform with highest output in the right quality If working with quality and improvement, in a production area which is the heart of Novo Nordisk production, is your passion, this is the job for you. By the above you will help us create a stable process, delivering quality product to downstream processes. Qualifications You are a strong collaborator across functions and systems. You have a can-do attitude, a solid understanding of process within pharma. You are familiar with setting requirements to process and equipment, and you have demonstrated that you can take innovative ideas all the way from design over testing and installation to verification and qualification. Experience from collaboration with functions such as manufacturing development, engineering partners, and production will be an advantage. To succeed in this role, you will have:
• As a minimum a bachelor’s degree in sciences, engineering or similar
• Experience from relevant manufacturing processes and production
• A solid understanding of the pharmaceutical value chain, documentation, regulatory requirements, and GMP
• English proficiency both verbal and written On a personal level, you will thrive in this job if you enjoy close teamwork and are a strong motivator of others. You like working in a multicultural environment that demands independence to make critical decisions.
