The Senior Infrastructure Engineer acts as a subject matter expert in the network area and provides expertise to development, projects and operations. The team is engaged in a global environment where WIFI, LTE/5G solutions and software defined networks have an increasing role. We are involved in network engineering for connectivity at industrial areas on a global scale – the focus is wireless and the related wired technology.

The Wireless Engineering team is being established and expected to be around 20 persons located in Maidenhead, Pune (India), and Copenhagen. The team mission is to handle design, engineering and operation for industrial network infrastructure worldwide
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in defining and implementing projects to standardize and improve (e.g. Reduce cost) the network and perimeter solution within Industrial networks
- Product ownership is an option and includes responsibility for operation
- Design new infrastructure solutions
- Define standards within area
- Discuss solutions with vendors, challenge vendors and internally communicate outcome in a more general language
- Collaborate with local organisations for on site work.
- Participate in change preparations and oversee the implementation of high impact and high risk changes
Who we are looking for:
- Good communication and interpersonal skill, able to build good working relationship (internal and external)
- Flexibility and Capacity to handle changes
- Self-Initiative and analytical / problem solving skills
- Result-driven with persistence and consistency towards the solution of challenges
- Strong customer service focus
- Good knowledge of firewall functionality and setup both as physical and virtual setup
- Good knowledge of wireless technologies (WLAN, LTE/5G)
- Good knowledge of switching and routing (Cisco)
- Good knowledge of VLAN functionalities and setup
- Good knowledge of WAN (SD-WAN, DMVPN, MPLS)
- Good knowledge of QoS and Netflow
- Relevant certification is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of ITIL
- Basic knowledge of Excel and Word
