Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for the Technology Engineering team

The position and responsibilities
As Mechanical Engineer, you will focus on automating processes in a laboratory and production setting. You will use CAD programs (preferably Autodesk Inventor), calculations, laboratories investigations and test data to help you investigate, clarify and develop our new process equipment and devices. Together with experienced engineer colleagues, you will be the “go-to” persons regarding our technical product functionality. If you like to use your engineering curiosity, technical experience, and your flair for having hands on to find the optimal automation solution for the laboratory you will get a meaningful carrier with plenty of opportunities to expand your expertise and curiosity together with experienced colleagues.
You will do hardware integration, controller development for hardware such as PLC programming, system development and bench testing of prototypes.
Qualifications and skills
Preferably, you hold a master’s degree or equivalent within relevant mechanical engineering disciplines preferably with experience from working in a highly regulated industry and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
You have experience with sensor and motor integration, hardware programming and you are skilled with 2D and 3D modelling programs, MS Office and find it easy to master IT systems and implement digital solutions
Ideally you have:
• experience with CAD technologies: Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
• experience with developing electromechanical construction
• experience with establishing mechanical requirements
• experience with handling technical questions from internal and external customers
• experience with designs and materials suitable for clinical environments
• experience with precision machined metal parts

The department is part of Novo Nordisk’s Research & Development (R&D) family and acts as a link from research to the future of our production systems. Our ambition is to improve diabetic patients lives by developing the world’s finest medicine.
The position is anchored in ‘QC Technology and IT’ in Måløv, and you will be joining a team of 13 professional with different scientific backgrounds, ranging from data scientists to control and automation engineers. The team is responsible for control of continuous manufacturing systems and building laboratory automation to enhance capacity; allowing us to meet a growing pipeline of products and preparing us for the future of manufacturing.
