The position
As Director of Market Release QC, you will head up a department consisting of 4 teams with responsibility for all microbial, chemical and pharmaceutical-technical analysis of Novo Nordisk tablet products produced in Denmark. You will have an impact on a fast-moving production site and product portfolio and you need to be able to navigate a complex and sometimes demanding stakeholder landscape. You will lead the improvement of processes in your area and be leading progress within core analytical processes.
Main responsibilities will be to:
• Being responsible for business performance in QC Market Release through identification of key deliverables and clear and prioritised resource allocation of capacity, budget and staff
• Establishing and ensuring fulfilment of strategic objectives in alignment with site strategy in own area
• Securing that the area is in compliance with the specific required quality standards both externally and internally
• Prepare and participate in internal audits and inspections by relevant authority
• Be responsible for organisational effectiveness of Department and for adapting to current and future customer demands

We are looking for someone who encourages business improvement and growth by ensuring continuous focus on change and improvement and has the ability to set direction, drive performance and manage high complexity in a large area, also by delegating and empowering Associate Managers, while maintaining a strong grasp on results and performance.
To succeed in this role, you:
• Hold an academic degree in life sciences subjects, engineering or similar
• Have several years’ experience from the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a QC laboratory
• Are an experienced leader of highly skilled and independent leaders and employees
• Possess great stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels
• Are fully proficient in English, and possess high level of Danish skills
Overall, you can navigate between QC and a very complex stakeholder landscape across Emerging Technologies and Development with a focus on many new products in the pipeline.
On a personal level, you have good awareness of your own strengths, limitations and development needs and apply this to optimize performance and relationships. Through great communication skills, quality mindset and change management skills, you are able to foster innovation and continuous improvements.
Finally, you demonstrate high level business acumen, especially regarding QC analytical methodology.
About the department
You will be joining the VP area Manufacturing Development & Quality Control (ET DP MDev & QC), which has process and product responsibility for existing and future oral drug products post-approval, as well as performing all analyses on products after method transfer. We work across the Emerging Technology (ET) organization to improve productivity of ET production and analytical processes. The area currently consists of 7 departments with a broad scope ranging from Tech & Innovation departments to Quality Control and Product Life Cycle Management.
