DTU Wind Energy is looking for a student helper with strong Python skills to help us with projects that requires programming work with Python.
The job
DTU Wind holds a large number of research projects, many of which utilise Python as a main programming language. Your task will be to help developing a python package for validation of wind observations and model results which relies on NumPy and Xarray for the data structures. In addition, you will help summarizing the results in easy to interpret templates that rely on the package Jinja2. The student helper will support one or two projects, using her/his skills in Python.
Our expectations of you
We expect the candidate has strong skills in Python programming language, is a good team player, and with good communication skills (fluent in English both oral and writing). Students with background in Computer Science are preferred. The candidate also should have a strong interest in programming and renewable energy in general.

Salary and appointment terms
You will be hourly paid in accordance with the OAO-collective agreement and The National Union of Commercial and Clerical Employees in Denmark (HK/Stat) or in accordance with the LC/CO10-collective agreement and the organizational agreement for IT Professionals (PROSA) or another relevant collective agreement affiliation.
Working hours are on average 15-30 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. Starting date is 15th August (or according to mutual agreement). The employment runs as long as you are an active student.
The workplace is DTU Risø Campus (with partial flexibility of working from home due to COVID-19 policies).
