About the department
Outsourcing Management supports Novo Nordisk’s development projects in driving the clinical contracting process. The department is responsible for supplier management within the clinical area and for securing a strong clinical sourcing infrastructure. You will be part of a team of 16 dedicated colleagues where you will experience a high degree of individual responsibility in an engaging and professional environment.
Outsourcing Management is a part of Global Development, where we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations and business ethics.
The job
As an Outsourcing Manager you will be responsible for driving the clinical outsourcing process in close collaboration with our Clinical Development project teams, Procurement, Legal and external suppliers. You will manage supplier relationships as well as supplier related risks and take part in integrating and updating the clinical outsourcing strategy in the development projects. You will be involved in qualification of suppliers and take part in the management and development of the global clinical outsourcing set-up. You will act as a subject matter expert for outsourcing of specific services. You will also be expected to take part in the management of strategically important preferred supplier partnerships including driving supplier performance evaluation, supplier oversight councils as well as take responsibility for supplier escalation processes.
Day-to-day operation is a varied mix of above responsibilities and includes a high degree of interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
As a part of Global Development your main office will be at our site located in Søborg, Denmark, but you might experience some travel activity.
Qualifications
You have several years of experience of sourcing or procurement within the pharmaceutical or clinical research organisation industry. Preferably, you have an understanding of the clinical development disciplines as well as a strong track record of supplier interaction from RFP to signed contract. Experience with sourcing of IT services or IT capabilities is a plus.
You possess good supplier relationship management skills and you are used to collaborating with international and diverse professional groups, driven by a strong interest in the business perspective and have a commercial, analytical a pragmatic mind-set. You have a proven track record of handling complex tasks with multiple stakeholders. You possess excellent project management skills and work proactively with a can-do attitude. You have a quality mind-set with a strong focus on safeguarding internal and external outsourcing requirements.
