We are looking for a Tech Lead who will shape, develop, and implement digital solutions in Clinical Development, ultimately addressing some of the biggest business opportunities we have in Novo Nordisk. You will have a chance to immerse yourself into not only the tech, but also understand the ins and outs of the business challenge as you engage with team members, end-users, as well as internal partners to craft the best solutions. As a Tech Lead you are responsible for creating and maintain a healthy product, with all that it entails (DORA metrics, Solution tech stack, Compliance, engaged team members, committed stakeholders). We are hiring for two roles in two different teams. Your responsibilities irrespective of the team are:
  • Drive and build value-driving and innovative digital solutions with a user-centric approach
  • Proficiently manage technical and business stakeholder relationships
  • Advise, drive and improve decision making trough effective communication
  • Explore and qualify new technologies and tools with the team during the development of these solutions to ensure we are using the right thing for the right job
  • Guide and mentor software developers on the team
  • Prioritise your work with the team and its product owner, weighing both the business and technical value of each task
  • One team is well established and already delivering value to its end-users who love the product. The task here is to continue this progression and support the team in further maturing their practices toward Continuous Delivery (in a highly regulated environment). The other team is being established and have been given a problem to solve. This team will grow as the product grows and your responsibility will be to balance the skills required from the team (and supporting the recruitment of people) while establishing the technical foundation for the product. Both positions are primarily based in Søborg, Denmark, and you should expect the majority of your time to be onsite to ensure better collaboration across the teams and organisation. Which competencies to bring? To be successful in this role, you should come with a strong understanding and hands-on experience within broad software development. In addition, we imagine the ideal candidate to meet most of the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant field
  • 7+ years’ professional experience and previous experience in a similar position
  • Solid .NET and hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, especially around PaaS service offerings, and multi-layered architecture
  • Broad knowledge of Azure resources, deployment methods and Azure Dev Ops pipelines are a plus
  • Past experiences with how to create and manage APIs as a natural component of a digital product is needed
  • Experience with creating impactful end-to-end user experiences
  • On a personal level, you are passionate about development and you care deeply about Product Engineering as a topic. Lastly, you could have a presence on GitHub or other OSS platforms with publicly available code that will help us assess your skills. The team will be tasked with iteratively refining and releasing a technical solution what will support highly experienced clinical staff to design clinical studies across all our treatment areas based on vast amounts of historical data. Essentially, we want to manage the complexity by providing end-users with contextual and actionable insights (and potentially actions), and reduce redundant work such that they can focus more on the right things.
