Platform Product Owner Category Plan to Strategy
The Business Platforms organization is at the forefront of developing cutting edge technologies to improve the customer’s experience with personalized and automated end-to-end digital journeys, that enable Maersk customers to access standardized products and services seamlessly. The Platforms help enable Maersk’s vision to be the Global Integrator of container logistics, connecting and simplifying customers’ supply chains. Additionally, the team creates the foundation to integrate data, systems and processes, powered by scalable Digital Infrastructure and APIs.
as part of the Procurement Platform supporting the source to contract processes are a set of home build solutions coupled with 3rd party sourcing solution used for negotiations, storing contracts and managing rates on behalf of our suppliers. In the coming years we aim to leverage data and analytics for predictive modelling, advanced analytics as well as intelligent automation of company-wide processes involving procurement data.
The Platform Product owner has the overall responsibility for bringing the platform’s vision to life; from setting the strategy,and overseeing the development of multiple innovative software products to create an industry-leading customer experience that will delight our customers around the world.
What you will do
Own the full product lifecycle from ideation, refinement, prioritization, development, launch and maintain with a build measure learn mindset (data-driven)
We are looking for you to drive customer obsession so the products and capabilities on our platform is rooted in enabling our third party suppliers to respond to customer needs.
You will drive the platform’s customer centric KPI’s and build a closed loop mechanism to monitor and report on these.
Owning the scrum teams’ backlog, prioritizing and providing user stories, features and epics
Build partnerships with technology leaders and with a large-scale global technology organization to build cutting edge software solutions that enhance customer experience, launch market-leading products and solutions to create sustainable competitive advantage.
Finally, you will lead, plan and report the ongoing work in relevant forums and communities. Through data and memos main and track success/progress & learnings. Analyzing trends and having regular interactions to get the necessary targets addressed.

You must be a great communicator with a data mindset both with technology and non-tech colleagues. You will drive the teams to a shared common understanding of the customer issue we want to solve online.
Passionate about using technology and based on data insights improve experience for our customers. You will own the sprint planning and grooming meetings to refine user stories with the engineering team and define how success will be measured.
You need to have a transformational mindset using an approach of persuasion and encouragement where you can take ownership when needed. With Maersk transformation you will need to apply skillset to drive success thought change management on a global scale across multiple functions- using a value driven and collaborative approach demonstrating you understand the E-2-E impact.
We are looking for
- 5+ years’ relevant experience in leading Product Management teams in global Technology organizations.
- Expertise in articulating and executing a customer-centric digital strategy, ideally in a B2B product. (end-to-end Logistics and Supply Chain is a bonus).
- Experience with transforming AIML capabilities to business benefits
- Experience in influencing a diverse, global team of product managers, UX and design, content, marketing and ecommerce, in a matrixed environment.
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
