We are seeking an ambitious, scientifically strong Project Vice President to lead the development strategies and drive execution of MASH (metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatits) assets in our world-leading clinical project portfolio. About the position As a Project Vice President, you will be responsible for defining, organising, and leading development activities towards approval of future MASH (metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatits) treatments as the leader of the Global Project Teams (GPT) with cross-functional representation from all areas in the organisation. You will also be responsible for communication and interaction with Novo Nordisk’ top management, external partners, advisors, and regulatory authorities worldwide. In addition, you will hold an active role in commercial and scientific discussions as well as considerations related to production and preparations for launch. Due to the expansive and visionary nature of the area, you will also be involved in more high-level strategic activities and improvement work. The job holds ample opportunities for personal development and your interactions with all stakeholders involved in drug development provides a unique learning opportunity. You will report to and work in close collaboration with the Corporate Project Vice President and be an active member of the Obesity, Liver Diseases & Devices leadership team. You will be the direct leader of one project coordinator. Qualifications You have a relevant scientific background (medical, biological, or pharmaceutical sciences) and experience within drug development as well as:
  • Substantial business understanding and experience from positions within the R&D value chain
  • Successful project management experience from leading cross functional projects
  • Formal project management training and business insight

Experience with leading people is thus an advantage to become successful in the position. The area consists of approximately 150 colleagues, and we are overall responsible for clinical development (clinical testing in humans from phase 1 through phase 4) of a large, diverse, and expanding portfolio.
