The position
As the new Head of People & Capabilities, you will be a member of the Digital Study & Monitoring Management leadership team and lead a dedicated Line of Business team working on COSMOS in an agile setting. COSMOS is our Clinical Operations Study Management & Oversight System (Veeva Vault). Together with the rest of the leadership team, you will have a key focus on growing the organisation to deliver on the strategic aspiration and ensuring the long-term strategic competency needs of the area to support the development and growth of individual career paths. Your focus is to create guardrails and support for the teams and lead the development of agile behaviours and collaboration in the cross-functional agile teams by coaching employees. Your key responsibilities:
  • Support the digital strategy and vision – working closely with Product Managers and key stakeholders in Development and our global organisation.
  • Grow overall capabilities and capacity, monitoring teams' performance by the performance of their products (COSMOS) and impact on culture.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including senior management, to understand business goals as set off for strategic workforce planning.
  • Assess the capabilities of the team and identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to address these gaps.
  • Motivate, inspire, and support employees to help them develop their skills and advance in their careers.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Drive the adoption of new tools, methodologies, and technologies to enhance the capability.
  • Facilitate cross-organisational knowledge sharing within capability area(s)
  • The role reports to the Vice President of Digital Study & Monitoring Management part of Clinical Drug Development Digital Transformation, and works closely with stakeholders across the organisation, leading a team of app 15 people primarily based in Søborg (DK).
    Qualifications To thrive and succeed, we expect you have:
  • Master’s degree with minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in Clinical Drug Development or Digital Product Management.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, ideally with line management, combined with the ability to motivate and develop a team, and drive the strategic people agenda for the area.
  • Solid understanding of the value chain in pharma and/or a heavy Product Management suitcase.
  • Experience in using agile methodologies will be an advantage but we will ensure you get SAFe certified.
  • Fluency in written and oral English.

About the department You will join Digital Study & Monitoring Management, part of Clinical Drug Development Digital Transformation. In Clinical Drug Development Digital Transformation, we lead the digitalization of clinical development to bring more innovative medicine to more patients faster. We drive the discovery and development of a portfolio of digital products ranging from large clinical trial management systems over data insights products to solutions enabling risk-based quality management. Our portfolio consists of both solutions we build in-house as well as solutions from vendors. We have a razor-sharp focus on digital product management and product design to ensure that the products we create are desirable, feasible, and viable.
