This is a MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) Project Lead-Smart Plant Manufacturing role reporting to the Group Manager in Business Area India Operations Centre, Industrial Automation (INOPC IA) and will be based in Bangalore.

As a member of the Operations team, you will be participating in the all phases of the MES system implementation projects phases – analytics, architecture, requirements, development, implementation, testing and technical support. Providing high quality and innovative solutions to a wide range of challenging problems and contributing to the completion of specific design projects.

Your responsibilities

• Participating in full MES software development lifecycle - design, development, implementation, testing, support.
• Converting high level requirements to a detailed design considering best practices and the required functionality, performance, scalability, reliability etc.
• Performing complex expert diagnostics on MES infrastructure, software, interfaces.
• Analyzing existing processes, identifies issues and propose solutions.
• Participating in the code review process, sharing know-how with other team members.
• Communicating with customers during implementation and supporting phase of the project lifecycle.
• Writing product development documentation.

Your background

• Bachelor’s in Computer science, Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Software Developer with experience in leading engineering and deployment of MES solutions for manufacturing/Process industries.
• Proficient in C#/.Net, WPF/XAML, WCF, WinForms, JavaScript, JSON, XML, HTML5, CSS, ReactJS.
• Must be proficient in Web Services integration (REST, WSDL/SOAP, XML, JSON), database engines (MSSQL), source control (TFS).
• Should know how to create a detailed design from high-level objectives/architectures.
• Experienced in code quality assurance (unit testing, static code analysis).
• Must have strong command of English and excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of any of the following will be beneficial: C/C++; OPC (DA, HDA, UA) & COM; PLC/DCS, (UX) design/awareness.
