Challenging role in Group Accounting


The Financial Controller will join the Group Accounting team in the ECCO Group where all aspects of group consolidation, financial controlling, financial compliance audits is handled. He or she will refer to the Head of Group Accounting.

As a Financial Controller your overall responsibility, in cooperation within the Group Accounting team, will be:

  • Perform Financial Controlling for month-end, annual report, budget, and DF figures
  • Internal financial audits in ECCOs subsidiaries
  • Providing deep dive audits/controlling via digital solutions on selected focus areas
  • Compliance monitoring

The position as Financial Controller is expected to have primary tasks focusing on financial compliance audit, controlling/review of financial reports from group companies, compliance tracking/follow-up on periodic reporting/forecasting, analysis, and ad hoc reviews/investigations on financial elements. A big part of the tasks is performed in the Group HQ, but audit and in some case ad hoc reviews are performed on local locations for which reason travelling to group companies is a normal part of the position.

Ready to take a step into an international environment


We are looking for a profile with minimum 2-3 years of experience from a similar position or as an Auditor. This could be your step to join a multinational company. You have a background as Master in Accounting or a Higher diploma (HD-R). Preferably you have experience from auditing at large corporations. The audit and controlling are based upon Danish Accounting Act which to large extend follows known international accounting standards and directives such as IFRS and EU directives.

To support the audit and controlling several IT-tools are utilized such as SAP, SAP/BW Datawarehouse, MS Power BI, Audit Analytics, IMPERO (compliance reporting tool), and MS Office packages. As a Financial Controller you are expected to become a superuser in the IT-tools for which reason flair for IT-tools is required.

This position is located at ECCO’s Headquarter in Bredebro.
