As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our Business Intelligence (BI) & Analytics team, contributing to our business intelligence strategy by: Supporting in the creation of a robust data foundation to support a resilient data ecosystem and ensure data excellence, with a focus on minimizing manual intervention. Transforming i.a. Finance ERP data and product manufacturing data via ELT processes, into modular building blocks for our foundational semantic models. Developing value adding data products that address the reporting, analytics and prediction needs of the business, with particular focus on cost management, productivity and data-driven decision making. Employing and refining best practices, development processes, data architecture, and governance. Qualifications
To be a valuable addition to our team, you should possess: A Master’s degree in Data Engineering, Data Science, Mathematical Modeling, Economics, or a related field. Min. 3 years of experience working with Business Intelligence solutions. Strong knowledge of the Microsoft tool stack, incl. Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Bricks, Fabric and Power BI. Solid understanding and competencies in the use of SQL, PySpark and DAX. Experience working with complex data structures in a large international organization. The ability to articulate technical decisions and tailor messages according to the audience. Moreover, you will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams, identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation in data analysis and reporting. Your responsibilities will include supporting critical finance processes, such as monthly closings and budget rounds, ensuring seamless data integration and data flow management. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in BI and data analytics. Strong interpersonal skills are crucial, as the role involves interaction with stakeholders across the organization. Your stakeholders will encompass a diverse group, ranging from technical data experts to individuals with profound functional business knowledge in finance, supply chain, quality, and IT, as well as management at various levels.
