Do you want to be a part of developing embedded software for our future pumps and take part in contributing to the strong embedded software platform we have and use globally?
We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Developer, who wants to participate in all phases of the development. In the department we are in total 18 software developers and project managers in Bjerringbro, Denmark, and 6 in Chennai, India.
We are responsible for developing the software that goes into our pumps and motors, with special focus on features and functionality the user meets in his daily work with these products. You will be part of an agile team of 7 persons placed in Bjerringbro, Denmark and you will be working in an informal environment where focus is on developing you as well as delivering new world-class products to the market.
What is the job about?
You will participate in the complete development from making the requirements, doing the development in C, and validating that the features work as expected by writing test cases for our automatic test systems. All the work is done on our common software platform with focus on the functionality used in our pumps. You will work closely with colleagues in other teams in Denmark, but also in China and India. You should expect maximum 5-10 days of traveling per year to other Grundfos locations as a part of the job.
”We are right now investing intensively in the next generation of our electronic platform, and you will be part of developing the features for this. As we are also responsible for the final products, you can expect to get hands-on with the real products,” explains Manager Jan Vølker.
What do you need to apply?
You have a master’s degree in science or engineering or equivalent and you have some years of experience within embedded software development working with C. At Grundfos, we are in the middle of a transformation process where digital offerings and connectivity are very much in focus, so you also need to be willing to participate and contribute to this journey.
You have good English skills – both in speaking and writing as all our communication is done in English, and it is a plus if you also speak Danish.
”As a person, you work well in an agile development team by contributing to the common goals as well as daring to speak up and challenge your colleagues so that we continuously develop each other. You are able to get the technical overview of the products and you have a strong profile within embedded software development so that you can work on your own as well,” says Jan.
