Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to apply your negotiation skills at highest level and work with global sourcing contracts? Then you might be our new Negotiator in the Sourcing & Negotiation department in Strategic Sourcing.
The position
As our business is growing, we are looking for two Negotiators either full time, or on 30 hours per week to drive our negotiations with potential and current suppliers.
In this role, you will:
Some travel activity is to be expected, however, travel activities are not likely to exceed 8-10 days per year. Working from home a few days a week is common practice.
In case of working 30 hours per week, mutual flexibility is needed to accommodate for business needs.

It would be considered an advantage if you have experience from the pharmaceutical industry, but it is not a requirement. The level of complexity in the role will depend on seniority and we therefore welcome applicants with different levels of experience.

About the department
Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, and we are commercially responsible for our award winning and robust supply chain to safeguard the Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our global supplier network, we ensure availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products which help millions of people around the world to better live with chronical diseases.
You will join our Sourcing, Negotiation & Contract Management department, reporting to the Senior Manager. We are a dedicated group of 15 people with strong experience in running tenders and negotiating high profile contracts. We drive projects across our global organisation as partners to the Category Managers and the management team in Strategic Sourcing. The department is a Centre of Excellence within negotiation and the team drives all key negotiations and contractual processes within Strategic Sourcing together with the category owners. The team is also responsible for negotiation training to the organisation. You will join a team of experienced sourcing and negotiation professionals who will help you get the training and onboarding you need to become successful in the role.
Strategic Sourcing is responsible for the sourcing of all raw materials, products and services related to Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production. We are the commercial sourcing partner to manufacturing and distribution. The position

In this role, you will:
- be responsible for planning and carrying out negotiations with worldwide suppliers. Together with relevant teams across Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division you will ensure that negotiations are conducted at a professional level and with the best possible result for Novo Nordisk.
- formulate a clear negotiation strategy and articulate the steps to achieve the negotiation objectives, seek adequate mandate and proactively identify solutions to contractual challenges, and secure cooperation and involvement from relevant stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.
- develop your negotiation skills and work on a broad range of contracts with different levels of complexity. You will impact the supply chain value by being part of optimising contracts and negotiation processes, while taking into consideration long-term strategies, quality, and risk as well as environmental and social aspects.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, we expect you to:
- Hold a M.sc. degree in a relevant field, preferably a legal background.
- Have at least 2 years of experience with working with contracts and conducting negotiations, preferably from a multinational organisation or law firm.
- Have strong understanding of terms and conditions, as well as interest in developing your negotiations skills to the highest level.
- Be able to identify contractual risks and suggest potential solutions with input from relevant stakeholders.
- Be fluent in both written and spoken English.
