What’s the role about?
At Novo Nordisk the Business Intelligence (BI) Architect is responsible for building, implementing, and supporting reporting solutions. The right individual will possess experience in all stages of BI project work (requirements and technical design, security, governance, implementation, testing, and deployment). The BI Architect should have a firm grasp of BI implementation methodologies and will have had in-depth experience with Microsoft Power BI stack.

You will step into Digital, Data & IT with this job - a global community of +2500 colleagues, driving digitalisation in Novo Nordisk. We partner with the business to support digital transformation and innovation in all parts of the Novo Nordisk value chain – from idea to patient. We accelerate digital value creation through standardised, efficient, and secure technology platforms – the foundation for everything digital in Novo Nordisk.
The BI Solutions team consists of 25 employees in Denmark and approximately 60 employees in India. We provide Business Intelligence solutions globally. We manage SAP Business Warehouse (BW) on HANA and an enterprise data lake combined with utilisation of self-service tools like Alteryx, MS Power BI, Qlik Sense, and Tableau. Our solutions enable critical corporate processes across multiple functional areas such as Corporate Finance, Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing and more.

What’s the role about?
At Novo Nordisk the Business Intelligence (BI) Architect is responsible for building, implementing, and supporting reporting solutions. The right individual will possess experience in all stages of BI project work (requirements and technical design, security, governance, implementation, testing, and deployment). The BI Architect should have a firm grasp of BI implementation methodologies and will have had in-depth experience with Microsoft Power BI stack.
Responsibilities to take:
- In close collaboration with your BI Architect colleagues, you will be responsible for the long-term, strategic outlook for the architectural landscape covering the solution vision, intent, roadmap, and the architectural Runway
- As BI Architect you will be responsible for defining and communicating the shared technical and architectural visions across BI platforms and for aligning the many solutions across areas to ensure a shared technical direction
- Architect, design and develop end to end business intelligence solutions
- Assess complex technical environments and define requirements for integration of new solutions, maintenance, and optimization of systems
- Work with other departments to define their requirements for data need and reports. Analyse user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications for BI front-end applications
What are we looking for?
- You have a master’s degree within Engineering, IT or similar
- Several years of BI Architecture and data modelling experience
- You have experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or MS Azure) and integration along with solution design
- You have strong communication skills, and you can listen and understand the IT and business complexities and translate these into requirements and opportunities
- Experience with analysing user requirements and built front-end BI applications
