The position
Manufacturing processes are constantly being improved in Novo Nordisk. Improvements are implemented through the design of new lines and through continuously supporting production sites in identifying smarter solutions. User cases for improvements always start with an end user in production. This involves close collaboration with operators, engineers, and technically skilled people, as well as IT experts, machine builders, and data scientists. Together we drive innovation and digitalization.
Your overall objective will be to assist the Packaging Projects Innovation & Support team and to help us accelerate Digitalization and Innovation in our area. We will ensure that there is variety in your daily tasks, amongst which you can expect:
On the more practical side, the aim is to have our new intern start in January 2023. This is a 6-month internship with a possibility for an extension, depending on the workload. You will be working 18 hours a week and our internships are remunerated if your educational track allows this. A Danish full-time work permit is required.
Qualifications
You are currently studying within a relevant field and are passionate about developing new digital and innovative solutions to processes.
On a more personal side, you are a strong communicator with good facilitating and stakeholder management skills. In your work, you are ideally structured and systematic and are highly motivated to contribute, but humble enough to know that there is a lot yet to learn while having an innovative and digitally inclined mindset to help the team solve problems and see things from a different perspective.

As our intern in the Packaging Projects Innovation & Support team, you will be able to take up a lot of responsibility and get support to develop. You can expect to grow both on a personal and professional level. Your colleagues will meet you with positive and agile mindsets and share their experiences on how to improve processes and quality for future demands.
Packaging Projects Innovation & Support is a team within Device Manufacturing Development (DMD). DMD is responsible for the industrialisation of all medical devices at Novo Nordisk. We are an end-to-end corporate organisation developing products for high volume production, establishing control strategy of the products, improving, and implementing the production equipment at the production sites in different parts of the world. Finally, it is our ambition to drive change by discovering and putting into practice novel digital solutions

- Supporting process specialists
- Understanding manufacturing processes and mechanical design of packaging lines.
- Helping us increase equipment efficiency, improve line performance, increase the quality of our products, and monitor the health of our equipment
- Supporting us in identifying opportunities for the development of smart solutions
- Assisting us in our quest to make data available and bring together relevant stakeholders to accelerate future production

- Some experience with manufacturing and mechanical design
- Previously engaged in work that involved processes optimization
- Able to collect data using Python
- Familiar with IT structures & Industry 4.0
- Fluent in both spoken and written English.
