The position

Novo Nordisk is pursuing an ambitious strategy of improving the life of people living with chronic diseases and drive business growth by supporting global projects linked with orals and stem cells. With a rapidly growing portfolio of patient offerings, we are currently looking for a Sr Programme Manager to support the scaling of the organisation supporting the expansion of orals in multiple therapeutic areas.

As Senior Programme Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Drive the orals & stem cells program portfolio end to end both tactically and strategically especially focusing on a broader timing and collaboration btw development of delivery solutions and the rest of the organisations contribution to clinic and launch.

  • Engage with key stakeholders within Primary Packaging, CMC Development, Global Drug Development, Global Research Technologies, Global Development, Product Supply, Regulatory, Commercial & Marketing, as well as external suppliers

  • Ensure goals are achieved within set milestones to be reported to R&DMgmt, RPComm, PDComm, PDCouncil internal governance bodies

  • Manage Program budgets and costs

  • Interact and obtain approval by appropriate governance body & assure execution of the approved strategy by translating into individual Program goals.

  • Together with Strategic Development, be responsible for the preparation and execution of the Program portfolio strategies and plans including communication and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Be responsible for Program portfolio scenario planning and recommendations regarding strategic development options relevant to boards and committees for decision.

  • Be responsible for creating synergy and knowledge sharing across the portfolio of Programs and to ensure optimal strategic portfolio management.

  • Responsible for participating in Joint Steering Committees on relevant Programs with external, international partners for the efficient decision making and steering of overall Program activities.

  • Be Member of Global Product Team (GPT) in the assigned therapeutic area representing all

As Senior Programme Manager, you are expected to lead the programme team by creating clarity on purpose and goals, driving performance through empowerment and engagement, and challenging the status quo.

Your success will be driven by your contributions to the execution of the project, the quality of your deliverables and your way of communicating and engaging with colleagues and stakeholders. Qualifications

  • +10 years of experience in successful Program/line management from leading Packaging or Medical Devices Development Programs in a global development context. It is of key importance that the Programme Manager understands the various disciplines of delivery systems development and their complex interaction incl. a substantial business understanding from relevant business areas.
  • Proven management skills within device or packaging development Programs.
  • In depth knowledge of quality standards in the pharmaceutical industry as well as regulatory requirements world-wide.

  • As a person, you are analytical, structured, demonstrate attention to detail, and have a flair for planning and coordinating.
  • You are capable of handling complexity in processes and having many various activities going on in parallel.
  • You are a strong team player recognised for your interpersonal skills and as a person you thrive in a busy environment.
  • You are proactive, take ownership over your assignments and feel comfortable in working independently.
  • You bring a "can do" spirit, a healthy common sense and a good sense of humour to your work - even when the pressure is on.
  • You are able to implement sustainable product development foundations and to constantly make them evolve to become better everyday.

About the department

Devices & Delivery Solutions is an area within Novo Nordisk’s global R&D organisation. We develop medical devices for self-treatment, supporting all business areas of Novo Nordisk A/S. Devices & Delivery Solutions is located in Hillerod in the greater Copenhagen area with state-of-the-art R&D facilities and has a long and outstanding track record of developing the best, most innovative and widely used insulin devices in the world.

As Senior Programme Manager, you will join one of our Programme Management team in Devices & Delivery Solutions responsible for delivering Novo Nordisk next generation devices & Delivery Solutions. You will be part of an organisation of highly skilled people – many the best in the medical device industry. They will embrace you with a constructive and collaborative mindset challenging your ideas and providing highly competent sparring.
