Our team drives strategic planning for pipeline assets with the GEPA perspective. About the department
GEPA is crucial to the commercial success of products in the pharmaceutical industry. This is your opportunity to join an international, high performing team in Copenhagen, Denmark, working with bright people on some of the most innovative products in Novo Nordisk.
The position
As the head of EAST, you will be accountable for leading the Early Asset Strategy Team across pipeline assets. You will play an instrumental role in coaching, mentoring and developing team members to optimise performance, well-being and delivery. The position requires someone who can bring innovation and breakthrough thinking to our team. Increasingly, payers set the bar high for new innovations and what it takes to gain access. You will get the opportunity to join an international and high performing team in Copenhagen, Denmark. Your work will contribute to important decisions and milestones regarding pipeline strategy across the portfolio.
The job
You will provide effective leadership to the Early Asset Strategy Team, overseeing the timely initiation and delivery of early strategic evaluation and planning activities for pipeline assets and building in-house capabilities and knowledge. You will drive innovative thinking and solutions aligned to the challenges and trends of the evolving access landscape globally in close collaboration with other GEPA therapy heads, building close partnerships across the industry and external stakeholders. Your work will inform strategic decisions, ultimately enabling positive reimbursement recommendations around the world.
Qualifications
In your new role you will have a high degree of impact, with an expectation of developing the recently formed Early Asset Strategy, ensuring we have a good strategy that optimally represent the value of our products. You must have at least a degree in a relevant scientific field. Candidates are expected to show proven strategic and critical thinking abilities, including problem solving and scenario planning as well as deep knowledge of value strategy, health economics and HTA & reimbursement requirements across a variety of therapeutic areas in key markets and affiliates. As the head of the Early Asset Strategy function, and a member of the leadership team, we expect you to be highly skilled in building productive relationships with internal (across geographies and functions) and external stakeholders (across key markets) and articulate and influence where appropriate with the GEPA perspective.
We are looking for someone with excellent people management, mentoring skills and proven leadership capabilities as well as the ability to:
- build and maintain new capabilities in the Early Asset Stratgy team
- track performance, and act in a decisive and timely manner when required
- develop and nurture a positive team culture, allowing for development and growth, whilst ensuring successful delivery
Finally, you ideally combine this experience with a fluency in both written and spoken English and an outgoing, collaborative and commercial mind-set, strong project management skills, and an enjoyment of working in diverse teams.
Some travel to key affiliates will be expected. We will both consider candidates who work onsite or remotely.
