The Capacity Planning Manager for Contract Logistics owns the capacity plan for one or multiple Contract Logistics Products and establishes and maintains the capacity planning infrastructure and algorithms. The role is responsible to collect the input for the long-term planning cycles and translates this into global capacity requirements for each of our contract logistic products in partnership with the regional Contract Logistics team. The role owns the regular strategic S&OP process to provide visibility into variation from the long-term plan and drives corrective actions with the partners.

You will be accountable for preparing and facilitating the regular strategic S&OP review and updates to the management. You partner with cross-functional teams: Finance, Tech & Platform Teams, CEN Product & Growth & Functional Operations, Regional & Area teams. You will also responsible for pull and report data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and performing ad hoc reporting and analysis.
Other key tasks are:
• Facilitates the flow of information between different stakeholders.
• Own the standardization of the planning processes globally.
• Provide training documents and advocates the regional and area teams performing planning activities.
• Own the gap analysis vs the long-term plan and drives corrective actions.
• Own the analysis of large data sets to identify planning improvements and to drive decisions.
• Assess simulation results and the business impact of trends driving investment decisions.
• Configure the inputs into the planning system to drive capacity decisions for our global customer contract logistics network.
• Systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure that they are delivered.
• Scope out requirements for the Maersk technology teams supporting the planning systems.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, engineering, operations research, business analytic, or a related field.
You:
• Have strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written as one may be required to create a narrative outlining weekly findings and the variances to goals and present these findings in a review forum.
• 5+ years supply chain, logistics management, e-commerce and/or project management experience
• Ability to prepare, report and interpret large sets of planning data.
• 5+ years of experience with Excel (Pivot Tables, VLook.)
• 5+ years of experience with SQL.
• 5+ years of experience working with IT professionals.
• Strong proficiency to communicate and negotiate in English.
