Do you have talent to connect the dots between data, people, strategic thinking and sound business acumen? Are you curious, investigative and analytical? Then you could be the Senior Business Partner we are looking for in the MARS (Medical Affairs, Regulatory and Safety) Business Support team.

About the department
In MARS, we are a team of approx. 1.000 people pursuing better outcomes for patients within three functional areas: Global Medical Affairs (driving scientific communication), Global Regulatory Affairs (ensuring approval by health authorities) and Global Safety (handling patient safety and adverse events).

MARS Business Support is part of MARS Strategic Development. Our main goal is to ensure solid data to drive informed decision-making, with the ultimate aspiration of turning the ambitious R&D strategy and the promising drug development pipeline into real-life action. Amongst other things, we oversee the global capacity forecasting models, performance analysis and business intelligence. Our responsibility is to drive data driven decision-making, lead business improvement projects and provide management support to the leadership teams across the global organisation.

The position
As a Senior Business Partner, you will be acting in the intersecting between data analytics, process optimisation, project management and stakeholder management. The key responsibilities are within:

Enabling data-driven decision making through analysing complex business data and communicating outcomes to drive actions. For example, this could be related to global capacity forecasting, supporting leadership teams to drive strategic workforce planning. It could also be in the form of factualising key datapoints and identifying bottlenecks and opportunities in the strategic process of bringing new drug innovation from the clinical stage to approval and launch.

You will also be driving strategic projects, such as business process optimisations and performance improvement initiatives. You will be taking the lead from initiation to benefit realisation and, depending on the situation, you will need to master both technical (e.g. analytical) and behavioural (e.g. change management and communication) aspects of the project, and two days will seldomly be alike.

Strong stakeholder management is a key discipline in the position, and you will get the opportunity to work with talented people and leadership teams. To be successful, you will need to build trustful relationships to key stakeholders and independently drive the dialogue.

You will become part of a team of 14 dedicated colleagues with diverse backgrounds, where we support each other and work together to ensure everyone delivers at their best.

Qualifications
You have a master’s degree in Economy, Business Administration, Engineering or similar, with at least five years of experience.

You hold strong data analytical skills as an advanced user of MS Excel, and ideally you have hands-on experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau and Alteryx) and/or database solutions (e.g SQL). Experience with Agile project management is an advantage.

Furthermore, you are experienced in PowerPoint and can easily turn data into appealing “storylines” and actionable recommendations. You build and develop strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues. You are curious and are not afraid to reach out and ask investigative questions.

You speak English fluently. You work independently in a structured way and approach tasks with energy and a positive “can-do” attitude.
