About the department
API Manufacturing Development (MDev) Process Support is a dynamic and well-functioning department with many contact points in the Novo Nordisk organisation. The department consists of approx. 100 employees divided into six teams and we are located in Bagsværd. For this position you will be a part of our Fermentation and Recovery Support Team, which provides support to the API fermentation and recovery production facilities (located in Kalundborg and the US), primarily within process optimisation and new process characterisation and implementation. In API MDev Process Support we love professional challenges, and we perform our tasks independently and with great individual responsibility, whilst a high level of commitment and good social interaction are in focus - we believe that going to work should be fun and challenging. A large part of the work takes place on a laboratory scale and in this position, you will work with protein recovery process unit operations, such as preparative HPLC (ÄKTA pure purification stations), isoprecipitation, crystallisation, filtrations (micro/ultra filtrations and dynamic cross-flow filtration). Your primary tasks will consist of: Planning, executing, evaluating, and reporting laboratory experimental work Participation in various laboratory tasks Equipment maintenance We are looking for a colleague for a 12-month temporary position, with a potential opportunity for extension into a permanent position. Qualifications
To be considered for this position, we imagine that you: Are a trained laboratory technician or have an equivalent education Have experience with protein purification Can understand, speak and read English We are currently establishing a laboratory scale fermentation facility, hence for this position experience with laboratory scale fermentation process is of relevance, but not a requirement for the position. As a person, you: Thrive in a changing and busy everyday life and can organise your work tasks Take responsibility for your tasks and follow them all the way to the door at the agreed time Are good at communicating and expressing yourself in writing and can report your experimental results independently
