The position
In addition to being instrumental in the build the Diagnostic Centre of Excellence, the role of the Diagnostic Director is to lead and drive the development of companion diagnostic solutions for clinical stage projects with line of sight to commercial launch.
A key element is to work closely with early and late-stage clinical development teams to integrate companion diagnostic planning and implementation with biomarker evaluation, investigational device validation and performance evaluation in the areas of diabetes, obesity, rare diseases, cardiovascular disease, and NASH.
You will work in multi-functional teams of precision medicine scientists, assay, medical, regulatory, payor and commercial specialists to bridge the clinical and commercial needs of the project with diagnostic development through external partnerships.
The position is based in Måløv, Denmark.

As part of the corporate global R&D strategy, the Diagnostic Centre of Excellence is central to creating the infrastructure and processes to enable diagnostic and companion diagnostic development across Novo Nordisk’s early and late-stage clinical development portfolio. Our commitment is to build a differentiated pipeline with an increased probability of success by matching medicines with those patients who will benefit most.
To meet this end, we are now looking to expand our capabilities in diagnostics.

The position

You will work in multi-functional teams of precision medicine scientists, assay, medical, regulatory, payor and commercial specialists to bridge the clinical and commercial needs of the project with diagnostic development through external partnerships.
The position is based in Måløv, Denmark.
Qualifications
To be a successful candidate for the role, you have:
- PhD degree combined with experience from the diagnostic, biotech, or pharma industry.
- minimum of 5 years of diagnostic development, investigational device management and knowledge of diagnostic regulations.
- track record in the development and implementation of diagnostics and/or companion diagnostics during the drug development process.
- pioneering, curious attitude to develop differentiated diagnostic solutions to meet the unmet medical need of the future patients.
- good understanding of clinical drug development and experience working in large multi-functional teams.
