The position
As Trial Portfolio Specialist you will take on a senior role with extensive responsibilities for planning and execution of strategies and initiatives to prepare the Liver Diseases area to meet future clinical operations demand. You will assume extensive responsibilities and drive progress and innovation in collaboration with Leadership and Stakeholders across the global development organisation. You will be accountable for overall communication and ensuring awareness of Clinical Operations Liver Diseases portfolio strategies and issues between HQ and the global organisation.
You will be joining a headquarter function in the Novo Nordisk global development organisation and be part of our mission to bring new innovative treatments to people living with chronic diseases worldwide. The job is based in Søborg in Denmark but has a global scope. Some travelling activities should be expected.
Your key responsibilities will include: Leading development and execution of the Clinical Operations Liver Diseases portfolio strategies to increase global recruitment capabilities. Driving assessments and negotiations for global vendors supporting the portfolio strategies. Ensuring optimization of collaboration between Clinical Operations Liver Diseases and the affiliate organization. Driving and coordinating standardization of processes, tools and methodology across trials and projects within Clinical Operations Liver Diseases, including alignment with overall NN standards and improvements. Supporting Leadership to ensure awareness and adherence of NNWay, NN policies and NN values. Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we expect you to have: Academic Degree in Natural Science or similar. At least five years of relevant working experience. Understanding of drug development methodology. Strong analytical, project management and informal leadership skills. Proven negotiation experience and confidence in communicating globally and with Leadership. Track record of managing high complexity and driving results. Familiarity with Novo Nordisk global development organization is an advantage.
About the Department
Liver Diseases is organised in the ‘Obesity, Liver Diseases & Devices’ project area. We drive the obesity, liver diseases and device portfolios by developing new and better treatments for people with obesity and/or liver diseases and cover the device development across all projects. We are responsible for establishing medical and clinical strategies as well as execution of clinical trials within our area. We cover clinical trials in phase 1-4, including decentralised trials and paediatric studies.
