We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Laboratory Technician to join our LEAD biology department focusing on incretins and amylin within the Metabolic Diseases Research team.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for executing and delivering on our Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes portfolio and must-win battles. Your strong background in assay development will be essential in generating in vitro data and reports and establishing ex vivo and human in vitro assays to investigate the mode-of-action of drug candidates.

As our new Laboratory Technician, you will have the opportunity to: Ensure the department performs and contributes with human-centric fit for purpose assays e.g. bias and partial agonists, allosteric modulators, receptor occupancy etc. with a focus on primary human cells to support the LEAD portfolio. Ensure timely delivery on generation of data and reports, aiding accelerated IND submissions for the LEAD portfolio. Expand our state-of-the-art in vitro/ex vivo experimental research platform to investigate LEAD drug candidates. Work closely with the rest of the LEAD R&ED team in a collaborative spirit with a problem-solving, scientific insights, and "go-do" attitude. Contribute with data to publications as the LEAD assets advance into and progress in the clinic. Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we imagine that you have: A relevant education as Laboratory Technician or similar At least 2 years of relevant industry experience in assay development A background in primary human cell assays and in vitro pharmacology techniques Strong communication skills with the ability to present data and findings to Scientists and other stakeholders Professional proficiency in English, both written and verbally You preferably have knowledge of or experience with one or more of the following: Bias and partial agonists, allosteric modulators, receptor occupancy, and other relevant assays Working with metabolic diseases such as obesity and type 2 diabetes Cardio-metabolic diseases and incretin biology Furthermore, we expect that you have great time-management skills, you are able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. You have strong problem-solving skills and pride yourself in delivering high quality work with attention to detail. Last but not least, you are an energetic and positive person who thrives in a work environment where you both need to work independently and in a team environment.
