DTU Fotonik is looking for a skilled and experienced technical staff member who will take on responsibilities within scientific and technical assistance in research projects, student projects as well as teaching and lecturing.

The position will be comprised of the following activities:
Our expectations of you
The candidate must hold a master's degree in engineering, specializing in telecommunication or similar degree. In addition, practical experience (minimum 3 years) with PCB design (Eagle and Altium), 3D Modelling and printing (Autodesk Fusion), IoT wearables (Smart-Health devices), communication protocols (WiFi, RFID, BLE, LoRaWAN, SigFox, NB-IoT, LTE-M), microcontroller programming, digital and analogue low-power electronics, antenna design, PCB layout design and manufacturing (etching and CNC drilling), geolocation techniques as well as teaching and student supervision experience are required. Good communication skills in English are required, basic knowledge of Danish will be seen as an advantage.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). The position is a full-time position. Starting date is 1 December 2021 (or according to mutual agreement)
The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus in Kongens Lyngby, Denmark.

The job
The position will be comprised of the following activities:
- Development of hardware prototypes (e.g. PCB design, enclosure design, component advice)
- Software design (for microcontrollers, IoT backend systems, applications)
- Ultra low-power device design
- Antenna design (PCB and flex-PCB). Modelling and production.
- 3D Modelling (for 3D printing)
- Assisting and contributing to various research projects
- Teaching assistance and lecturing (electronic components for IoT, 3D design, PCB design, communication protocols)
- Assisting students in the labs with their prototypes
- PCB design and development
- 3D printing assistance to staff and students
- Supervision MSC and BSC students
- Laboratory responsibilities
