This position is based in our HQ in Copenhagen.
Key Responsibilities
As Senior HR Business Partner you will actively contribute to the Finance Specialist Functions and Strategy Function strategies and translate them to people and organisation strategies.
You will partner with the Finance LT members and Head of Strategy to establish short and long term goals to drive business success ensuring the people agenda enables the respective strategies.
Key areas of responsibility:
- With the leadership teams, co-own the Finance agenda and enable the business making results
- Acts as sparring partner and courageous coach to executive and senior leaders helping them to develop and lead more impactfully
- Collaborate with leaders to design simple and efficient organisational structures and operating models enabling the business strategy
- Support leaders in building high performing teams that are prepared for the future needs of the Finance Function, promoting a high-performance culture and addressing performance improvement needs within their teams
- Identify and close capability and competency gaps in close collaboration with the People Partnering organization and the COEs and through Strategic Workforce Planning and People Data
- Partner with the senior leaders to build an engaging working environment across the function
- Drive the succession planning of key positions and long term talent development in the respective teams
- Execute global strategies/projects (M&A, Major Restructuring etc.) and HR strategic priorities and projects in the respective teams
- Support senior leaders through strategic parts of annual HR cycle and partner with People Partners and deployment teams on support needed for annual HR cycle implementation across the function
- Build a bridge between global People Strategy and Finance People Strategy
- Foster a culture where the Maersk behaviors and values are embedded and on which business decisions are made
- Proactively drive a culture of collaboration and sharing across the Strategic HRBP community ensuring alignment across
- Work with CoEs to prioritize and develop Maersk’s future HR policies and processes based on short-and long-term business needs
- Develop strong HR talent though direct and indirect leadership and role modelling
Who we are looking for
We envision that you have an HR-related educational background at a master level or equivalent.
You can demonstrate at least 10 years of experience in a strategic, senior HR Business partnering position within a global organisation.
You are comfortable working in international environments with constant change and you have a solid understanding of business dynamics and how HR can support the same.
You:
- Excellence in influencing senior stakeholders, conceptualising and shaping strategies, challenging perceptions and expanding points of view while acting as the trusted advisor and courageous advocate
- Resilience and maturity in dealing with change/uncertainty and delivering results in challenging environments
- Proactiveness - having the ability and confidence to work on own initiative
Have experience working in a challenging, fast paced and changing environment dealing with a lot of different tasks at the same time - Have the ability to impact business activities, engage with and influence, guide and challenge multiple (executive) stakeholders.
- Cross-cultural awareness, general knowledge of international business and a high degree of cultural awareness and sensitivity
- The ability to communicate effectively across different levels in the organization – globally and locally
- Have a well-structured and logical approach to the job and an outgoing and enthusiastic personality
- Are well organized with high attention to detail
- Collaborative and works for the success of the team.
You are fluent in written and spoken English, while Danish is not required.
