The position
As a Senior Project Manager in the ESG Strategy & Reporting team, you will work independently across various sustainability-related topics. The role covers developing materials and strategic proposals for senior management as well as driving projects on selected areas within sustainability.

About the department
The ESG Strategy & Reporting team is responsible for Novo Nordisk’s internal and external ESG strategy and reporting approach. The team strives to ensure that Novo Nordisk’s ESG efforts are state-of-the-art and that reporting complies with relevant legislation and standards. We follow trends, deliver sustainability intelligence and high-quality insights enabling data-driven decisions while facilitating collaboration with the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Novo Nordisk Sustainability Advisory Council.
ESG Strategy & Reporting is part of Global Public Affairs & Sustainability within the EVP area Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs.

The position
As a Senior Project Manager in the ESG Strategy & Reporting team, you will work independently across various sustainability-related topics. The role covers developing materials and strategic proposals for senior management as well as driving projects on selected areas within sustainability.
The key areas of responsibility are:
- Develop and drive high-priority projects across ESG, reporting, and other sustainability-related topics in close collaboration with subject-matter experts
- Apply a consulting mindset to complex problem-solving within sustainability to ensure projects and deliverables are developed based on evidence and data and are communicated clearly
- Develop and deliver quality material on sustainability-related topics for and to Novo Nordisk’s senior management and governance bodies. This will include forecasting, execution progression, decision scenarios, and other components of strategies and roadmaps
- Support operational excellence and execution of our sustainability ambitions throughout the organisation. This includes working with implementation plans, KPIs, incentives, supporting policies, etc., to secure full transparency regarding the implementation of our sustainability strategies
Qualifications
To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:
- Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Engineering, or another relevant field with excellent results
- +4 years experience in project management from a top-tier strategy/management consultancy, investment bank, accounting firm, pharma company, or other global organisation, preferably within the field of sustainability and ESG
- Proven track record in managing projects, ensuring progress according to plan, timelines, and quality requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including good numeracy and experience in working with data
- Ability to turn analysis into clear recommendations and convincing presentations
