The position
The role offers broad insights into Novo Nordisk’s worldwide business, active participation in cross-functional projects and international collaboration with teams across different functions and geographies.
Together with an experienced colleagues you will be responsible for forecasting sales across all products for one of Novo Nordisk’s seven sales regions. In addition, you will support a key diabetes brand team in driving strategic analyses globally as well as assessing the sales potential of late-stage development projects. Across all your responsibilities you will be responsible for analysis of data and critical business information from various sources to shape insights and recommendations to enable strategic decisions. You will also be involved in communicating key insights and analyses to relevant stakeholders across the organisation.

About the department
Diabetes Early Portfolio & Insights is anchored in the Commercial Diabetes unit and reports directly to the Senior Vice President. We are responsible for developing the Diabetes Therapy Area Strategy and driving the execution in close collaboration with R&D and other parts of the value chain.
We have a key focus on the intersection between business and science/technology as we are responsible for providing commercial guidance to R&D by defining aspirational Target Product Profiles, guiding the early diabetes pipeline projects, and developing valuations for milestone passages. Moreover, we provide fact-based insights based on competitive intelligence, primary and secondary market research (and data) as well as forecasting to enable fact-based decision making in senior management.

The position

Qualifications

- A master’s degree in Natural Sciences/Engineering/Business/Economics
- 1-3 years of experience from the pharmaceutical/biotech industry from an analytical commercial role e.g. within sales forecasting/market analysis/commercial excellence/business development or finance
- Strong analytical capabilities in working with data and structured problem-solving including the ability to tackle complex problems and provide actionable insights and recommendations
- High proficiency with both Excel and Power Point
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
