About the department:

In this role you will be part of The Obesity Strategy & Project s Management Team. Here we provide strategic leadership for current and future products in the obesity therapy area worldwide, and we are accountable for commercial project and portfolio strategies for the therapy area within Novo Nordisk with biggest growth potential according to long-term forecast.

Overseeing and safeguarding Novo Nordisk Obesity Therapy’s short and long-term strategy and planning, our team works closely and collaboratively to develop strategies and business plans, monitor industry trends, and provide operating recommendations.

We stay curious and on top of trends to provide commercial insights and analytics, maintaining our facilities and assuring the integrity and completeness of all business transactions. The Position:

As VP of Strategy & Insights you will be leading a team of around 10 dedicated and highly skilled colleagues delivering critical insights and strategies for the entire Obesity therapy area. In the position you will be responsible for:

  • Strategy development and follow up of the Obesity Business Plan and Therapy Area Strategy
  • Development of the obesity portfolio strategy with focus on expansion into new patient- and care giver segments to increase and improve quality of care for people with obesity
  • The obesity long-term forecast and valuations of obesity development projects
  • Timely, accurate and forward looking Competitive Intelligence in obesity
  • Insights generations, external market trend spotting, and market research to support portfolio and project decisions

As commercial leader for above strategic priorities you are expected to provide strong strategic leadership in a highly complex, rapidly evolving disease area requiring alignment with multiple stakeholders across Novo Nordisk and ensuring robust, clear prioritisation from multiple choices and options.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience from management consulting or pharmaceutical industry
  • Deep understanding and experience from leading long-term strategy development
  • Solid experience with product development and commercialization including, market development, regulatory, product supply, market access, financial management, clinical/medical
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to create results through others
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
