Competency Development Specialist, Medical & Science Centre of Expertise
As we are scaling and entering new therapeutic areas and endeavours related to disease, diagnostics, device, data and digital solutions (5Ds), we are looking to increase the portfolio collaboration and scientific subjects matter competencies. The position
In your role, you will have responsibility to:
• Build an internal drug development academy
• Support implementation of external clinical research collaborations/academic partnerships
• Indication framework set-up and proactively strengthen learning among the M&S Society
You will work into several cross-functional teams with other experts within clinical development from e.g., Medical & Science, Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Early Research, Biostatistics, Regulatory Affairs, Patient Access and Health-economy, where your role is to represent the M&S Society either as stakeholder or as project lead.
We offer broad portfolio insight and thereby a huge understanding of the core business and CDD organisation. Focus on personal growth and development is an everyday theme.
The job is based in Denmark and travel activity is limited, please expect less than 10 days per year.
Qualifications
We are looking for a qualified candidate for the open position in the Medical & Science Centre of Expertise (M&S CoE), Scientific Excellence to facilitate and structure cross-portfolio tasks in close collaboration with the M&S projects.
To be a successful candidate, you are expected to:
• Have documented clinical or scientific merits or an experience from pharma/MedTech industry (ideally 3+ years)
• Hold a M.Sc. from a relevant field
• Be fluent in spoken and written Professional English
• Product management experience along with in-depth understanding of the value chain of drug development is considered an advantage
Furthermore, to successfully fulfil your role you are self-driven, proactive, and able to set direction. You lead and motivate your peers with the ability to take on an informal leadership role. You have excellent network, collaboration and communication skills and preferably have experience working in an international environment and with diverse professional groups, managing relationships with internal and external key collaborators, including affiliates.
As a person you enjoy a setting with diversity of the projects you work in, have solid problem-solving capabilities, and like to see the bigger picture of what you do. We also appreciate curiosity, empathy and a good sense of humour.
About the department
The M&S CoE operates with a portfolio mindset supporting the NN overall strategy through cross-project initiatives and academic partnerships, to lead drug development to the benefit of people. Together with the projects, we ensure a high scientific standard and facilitate innovation in clinical trials. Moreover, the M&S CoE facilitate the onboarding and competency development for medical specialists and clinical pharmacology personnel across the M&S community at NN.
We are a team of 8 colleagues with very different backgrounds, both geographically, educationally, and way of thinking/ working, which we appreciate as it gives us good ground for discussion and feedback. We work in different projects, some of the projects overlaps or feed into each other, which is the cohesion link in the department. We have flexible working conditions.
