As Director, you will contribute to develop our Material Manufacturing area together with the management team and be responsible for managing one out of three Material Manufacturing Development (Material ManDev) departments in Product Supply, Sourcing Operations, responsible for either Raw materials or Primary Packaging materials.In both cases, you will set the direction for the department according to Novo Nordisk Way (our company values) as well as ensuring that the organisation is ready to challenges and driving performance to reach targets and department goals.Some of your other responsibilities include:
• Supporting development projects regarding Primary Packaging, Raw Materials, process Aids, Single Use Systems and Excipients, referred to as GMP materials
• Ensuring improvements and sufficient life cycle management on existing materials as well as strong collaboration across different groups of internal and external stakeholders in a global context
• Securing qualification of new materials to Novo Nordisk production globally
• Developing the department: you will take part in driving the innovation and continuous improvement agenda both at a tactical and strategic level.
• Developing the people: you will secure trainings and competencies development.
• Driving and supporting the diversity and inclusion culture in the department and across Sourcing OperationsYou will report to the Vice President (VP) for Material Manufacturing Development and become a member of a new management team, where you will be part of setting a new structure. The positions are based in Bagsværd and Hillerød.Qualifications
To be considered for this position, we expect you to have:
• A relevant master’s degree in chemistry or similar
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience with a proven track record of driving high performance teams delivering measurable business improvements through collaboration
• Experience from working in a regulated production environment, preferably with Manufacturing Development
• Full professional proficiency in English
• Interest or experience in working with continuous improvement and innovation.

About the department
Material Manufacturing Development is part of Sourcing Operations (SoOp), which is overall responsible for the inbound supply chain of Novo Nordisk and consist of 420 dedicated employees. We use our differences to create novel ideas and high-quality solutions to ensure continuous improvement of the Sourcing Operations function globally. You will be working in the headquarters with an environment characterized by innovation, openness and highly engaged colleagues who works dedicated to help us change lives for the better for patients around the world.Material Manufacturing Development consist of 110 employees, mainly with engineering or natural science background, organised in three Director Areas.
You will interact within a highly diverse and rich stakeholder landscape.
