The position
As part of the Global Data Office you will play a crucial role in defining the DevOps strategy to ensure optimal delivery of initiatives from solutioning, piloting, production, industrialization to operations. You will lead a high-performing DevOps team and collaborate closely with system architects, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient deployment and scaling of data-related projects. By providing expert guidance and support to project teams, the Data DevOps Director helps to ensure that Global Data Office continues to deliver exceptional results for Novo Nordisk’s Line of Business. You will report directly to the VP, Head of Global Data Office, and be a member of the Global Data Office management team. The overall tasks will include the following: Collaborate with product owners, system architects and stakeholders to design scalable and efficient data solutions enabling expected business value
Work closely with cross-functional teams to align DevOps efforts with business goals and project objectives
Lead the planning, design, and execution of data migration and integration strategies for M&A activities in collaboration with Global Information Security (GIS) and Global IT Operations (GITO)
Build and lead a high-performing DevOps team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members
Champion and implement Agile methodologies within the DevOps team to enhance collaboration, transparency, and flexibility in project execution
Implement and maintain automation tools and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual interventions in the deployment pipeline
Maintain comprehensive documentation of deployment processes, configurations, and best practices
With these tasks, you are to lift the following responsibilities: Facilitate Operations for all go lives and running solutions in Line of Business which are using Global Data Office Capabilities
Ensure that data-related projects are smoothly transitioned from development to production and scaled as needed
Ensure that data operations adhere to security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GxP, IDMP, GDPR, HIPAA)
Ensure that budget & delivery targets are met and architecture aligns with business goals and data management best practices
Act as a bridge between the Global Data Office and the scalability program to ensure alignment and collect requirements for the Global Data Office capability strategy
Foster Agile principles such as iterative development, continuous improvement, and cross-functional teamwork to streamline data-related project delivery.
Securing operations budget for Ops from Line of Business to provide a sustainable operational setup
We are looking for a senior colleague who can lead teams to ensure efficient, secure, and scalable delivery across the DevOps lifecycle that aligns with business goals and regulatory standards. We would expect you to stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in agile delivery and transformation programs and share knowledge and expertise with the rest of the organization.
What are we looking for
When thinking about the ideal fit for this role, we would like to find a great team player who is target-oriented and demonstrated experience in driving DevOps initiatives, implementing Agile practices, and ensuring the secure, efficient, and scalable operations in alignment with the strategic goals and compliance standards. To be eligible for the role, you hold: Bachelor’s or MBA / MA degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Data Management or a related field from a university or well-recognized institute
10+ years of experience in data management, analytics, data governance in consulting
Substantial track record as a successful people leader, with experience of managing and leading a geographically and culturally diverse teams as well as history of launching and managing complex technology initiatives or large-scale programs while working with senior business & IT stakeholders
Deep understanding of delivery management such as delivery models, agile methodologies e.g., SAFe and SCRUM, frameworks, etc.
Proficient in DevOps principles, tools, and methodologies, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), automation, containerization, and orchestration
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills in advanced spoken and written English. Danish would be a plus
Strong Understanding of end-to-end data, digital and analytics project delivery (BigData, Cloud DWH, Advanced Analytics / MLOps)
You have strong interpersonal skills, ability to lead across a matrix organization without authority, building a strong networking, and out of box thinking, always eager to launch and implement new ideas. About the department
