As Raw Material Scientist your primary tasks will include: Having the scientific responsibility for critical materials used in Novo Nordisk productions worldwide Ensuring the control strategy for the materials by assessing the manufacture and handling of the material that could affect its use in Novo Nordisk Active scientific evaluation of critical cases Handling urgent issues with the materials with high impact for the use of the materials Competent representation in technical and scientific discussions in projects across the organisation We have a strong on-boarding culture, and if you bring the drive and energy, we will make sure to set you up for success in the role. While this position is primarily office-based, we offer flexibility to work from home when the tasks at hand allow. The position is located in Bagsværd, Denmark. Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we imagine you: Hold at least a master’s degree in science (e.g., chemistry, pharmacy, engineering), or another relevant field within the natural sciences Have experience with handling and control of raw materials and with good manufacturing practice (GMP) Possess strong technical and analytical skills that you use actively Are action-oriented and able to get things done Are fluent in both spoken and written English As a person it motivates you to cooperate with colleagues and stakeholders across functions and departments. You find solutions that are robust and will ensure the correct quality level and seek improvements that benefit on the long term as well as solving short term problems. You take ownership of your assignment, are result-oriented and take pride in delivering on your milestones. You will join the RAW department in Material Manufacturing Development, Sourcing Operations in Product Supply. RAW is one of 3 newly established departments; RAW, Analytical Development, and Primary Packaging. The departments are created due to a split of Material Manufacturing Development and are gathered in a shared Vice President area of ‘Material Manufacturing Development’. In the Department, we are responsible for development, implementation and management of complex materials (raw materials, excipients etc.) from use in development to production, and we maintain documentation on existing materials. We cooperate extensively with a broad variety of functions, including Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC), Quality Control laboratories, Quality Assurance, inbound supply, warehouse, various Novo Nordisk production sites and a range of external suppliers and contract manufactures (CMOs).
