The position
As Business Support Manager for Global Strategic Outsourcing, you will be supporting the Corporate Vice President (CVP) with sparring and execution as well as be instrumental in building outsourcing excellence and securing that all support processes of the area run seamless. Your main responsibilities include:
  • Running business processes: you will be facilitating the GSO’s business plan and strategy and ensuring follow-through
  • Driving recurring meeting processes, including Business Reviews, Sourcing Reviews, Unit Meetings and Management Meetings
  • Representing the GSO management team in calibration of service offerings and service level from Centre of Excellence as well as in budget creation and adherence with links to our finance department
  • Establishing and executing projects both within and without the scope of the Center of Excellence
  • Managing and developing a newly established team of 3 employees that provide administrative support to managers across GSO
  • On top of that, you will be representing the CVP area in various networks across our Senior Vice President (SVP) area CSD, Contract Manufacturing, Sourcing & Devices (for example Strategy Network, LEAN network, and Business Support Network). You will report directly to the CVP of GSO.
    Qualifications To be considered for this position, we imagine you have:
  • A relevant academic degree in business, finance, supply chain or any other relevant field
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a business support function
  • Familiarity with project-oriented work and involvement in management reporting, finance and interaction with management
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • It would be considered as an advantage if some of your experience was obtained in a pharmaceutical, sourcing or supply chain environment.
    As a person, you are driven by leading and developing a team and thrive in supporting others with high-quality business support deliverables. You are known for a high commitment to your assignments. You thrive in a team-oriented environment, and you also enjoy working independently and making your own decisions. Last but not least, you have a structured approach to your work and attention to details.
    About the department
    Global Strategic Outsourcing (GSO) is one of two Strategic Sourcing units in Product Supply which combined, are responsible for the medium and long-term strategic sourcing activities. We support Novo Nordisk growth by working strategically with Product Supply’s direct spend and how we safeguard: cost, quality, capacity, risk and sustainability in our outsourced products as well as our inbound supply of materials and services. GSO Business Support is a staff function which secures progress on cross-unit organisational direction, alignment with Centre of Excellence supporting the category management, and responds to requests and direction set by surrounding functions with respect to strategy, budgets, and the like.
