The position
As Director for Strategic Sourcing Logistics Services, you will be heading up a team of 7 - 10 specialists focussing on strategic sourcing for categories related to warehouse and logistics services. Some of your key focus include:Setting the strategic direction for the department according to Novo Nordisk way Leading and managing a team, ensuring a high-performing and collaborative work environment as well as making sure that resources are allocated and employees have the means to fulfil their responsibilities Driving performance management through clear expectations and regular communication Developing and implementing high-quality strategies for all categories, providing guidance and direction for the department and other stakeholders Operating in compliance with the Quality Management System and core standard operating procedures Qualifications
To be considered for this position, we imagine you:Hold a master’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, economics or any other relevant field Possess experience with warehouse/logistics coupled with few years of experience in people management Are familiar with working within big international company and navigating with a broad range of stakeholders Demonstrate excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken As a person, you thrive in engaging, motivating, and inspiring your employees to perform in a dynamic and international environment. You are there for your employees, you help ensure psychological safety in the department. You know how to gain commitment from both internal and external stakeholders. Finally, you have a structured approach to your work and an eye for the details.
About the department
Strategic Sourcing Inbound Materials and services (SS IMS) is the strategic sourcing unit supporting Novo Nordisk Global Product Supply (PS) with managing external suppliers and service providers. Offset in our category strategies, the unit connect external capabilities and opportunities, with PS’ internal sourcing needs on a time horizon of up to 10 years.Via sourcing, negotiation and contracting activities, the unit connects market capacity of suppliers with the needs of Product Supply. We secure alignment with Novo Nordisk values and strategies, by having a number of Centres of Excellence supporting the Category Management roles.You will drive our newly created team dedicate to warehouse & logistics services and enter a fast-paced and ambitious environment where we collaborate closely with stakeholders across Novo Nordisk. You will be located in Bagsværd during 2024 (and Taastrup from 2025), where you will join the SS IMS management team
