Do you want to play a key role in our largest investment projects? This is your opportunity to drive major Project Portfolio Management and be part of the senior management direction setting for the future of Novo Nordisk, through its largest capacity expansion projects to date.
Apply today for a life-changing career!
The position
In this role you will build a broad network in Novo Nordisk through the day-to-day work and regular contact with many different areas of the business to govern solutions within the projects.
You will be responsible for:
• Driving the portfolio management office; planning of executive level portfolio governance meetings, review/sign-off of material for these, and coordination with NN central Investment Portfolio Group office and local CVP portfolio areas;
• People management of 4-5 talented colleagues who are linked to the major capacity expansion projects as well as the landscape of smaller optimisation projects across local CVP areas and the US production site;
• Offloading the area CVP/SVP by consistently ensuring coherent and high-quality materials, and overall strong clarity on our area’s strategy. The 4-5 portfolio managers in your team will drive the material production, but you will be responsible for the review/sign-off on the right quality
• Filling out an Executive Assistant (EA) role to the CVP and SVP; participation in meetings in lieu of CVP, driving ad hoc complex analytical tasks, coordinating ad hoc presentation material for senior stakeholder level purposes, and sparring with management around specific challenges in relation to our operations and major projects. This could also include responsibility for smaller investment projects.
The location is hybrid-based; we expect an average week of approx. 2 days in Kalundborg, and 3 days in Virum/Bagsværd/at home.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have:
• Some years of experience in business project management and/or strategic governance.
• Excellence in creating reports and high-quality presentations.
• Preferably, some people management experience, or ambition to become a people leader.
• Master's degree in Business, Finance, or Project Management will be preferred.
As a person, you work effectively through others and command natural respect through your leadership and stakeholder management skills. Your structural approach allows you to maintain a tactical and strategic overview while keeping an eye for the details. You can communicate effectively on project status and changes while managing to keep many different stakeholders aligned and informed. You are able to juggle many stakeholders and actions at a time, and prioritise effectively. You are not afraid of speaking your mind, and you can communicate clearly to upper management about complex issues across the projects.
About the department
Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) department produces insulin and GLP-1 to treat diabetes and obesity. You will be part of API Business Support, a growing area supporting both operations and projects, and will be part of the Business Support Management group.
