Senior Project Portfolio Manager Do you want to help set the standard for how to drive effective portfolio management? The Position As a Senior Project Portfolio Manager (PPM) you will be responsible for developing and leading the portfolio governance that spans over 300 projects in six local portfolios with a value of several billion DKK. You will join a new Executive office, established to provide support to senior management and secure foundation for strong decision making and executing the strategic direction. Project portfolio management is pivotal to succeed with this ambition. To make this a success, we need you to challenge and improve our current project portfolio management. We are looking for an individual who thrives in the crossfire between high level management and operational issues. A person who enjoys diving into details to provide sparring to project managers, and at the same time evaluate the portfolio high level and improve transparency and overview. One who sees the value in sharp and clear presentations as foundation for decision making. And one who always seeks solutions that fits the complexity and nature of the project portfolio. Your main responsibilities will be: Driving monthly governance meetings with senior management to ensure transparency on portfolio level and facilitate decisions on larger projects. Supporting local portfolio managers to ensure high quality project reporting and provide sparring on project governance. Facilitate portfolio prioritization with senior management to ensure that project priorities align with the strategic direction on both local and SVP level. Design and maintain a strong and comprehensive overview of the portfolio, and support decision making based on an overview of key metrics. We expect you to be present 2-3 days a week at the Kalundborg site; the remaining days you are free to work remotely from another Novo Nordisk site or from home. Qualifications To succeed in this role, it is required to have at least some years of proven project portfolio management experience. We can to some extent tailor the position to fit your qualifications, so we welcome applications both from senior profiles with strong project portfolio management expertise, and from more junior profiles within the field who are ambitious about developing into a senior role. Further, we expect you to: Hold a master’s degree in finance, project management, business administration, or a similar field. Demonstrate excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English, and preferably in Danish as well. Have experience with senior leadership exposure and collaboration with stakeholders at all levels within the organization. Exhibit strong network-building capabilities and the ability to create results through informal leadership. About the department The position is placed in Business Support at our API site in Kalundborg which is part of our global production division; Product Supply – counting close to +30.000 employees worldwide. The API Business Support consists of about 160 highly qualified employees with a multitude of professional backgrounds, all with the common purpose to support our production and implementation of Novo Nordisk strategies within API.
