Are you eager to implement and maintain automation solutions in large-scale API production? Would you like to work in one of the best IT and Automation organizations in the pharmaceutical industry?
Apply now for a life-changing career as Automation Engineer working with PLCs and instruments!
You have an unparalleled opportunity to join us from the early stages of building a new manufacturing site. Come and be part of our international team.
The Position
As an Automation Engineer, you will secure the implementation of Siemens PLC systems and later be part of the maintenance organization, and we are therefore looking for someone with a desire to achieve strong systems knowledge. In this position it is important to keep an operational mindset while securing the delivery of the PLC systems.
You will be responsible for:
• Identifying key risks, defining requirements, and ensuring the PLC systems have a robust and reliable design.
• Providing governance to the design, implementation, and testing to ensure alignment with your area and other areas within the project.
• Having a high focus on working with stakeholders, our external partners, and other automation organizations across API.
• 24/7 support going into operations as part of the maintenance organization.
Your main location will be in Kalundborg, in proximity of the manufacturing sites. As a lot of our collaboration partners work around Copenhagen, it is expected that you will also travel to work in those locations.
The project is of great strategic importance to Novo Nordisk, which has high visibility and support from Senior Management. At the same time, you will have a foot inside Novo Nordisk’s IT organization which supports all major expansion projects as well as operations.
Qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious and proactive colleague who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in most of the following skills and experiences:
You hold a M.Sc. or B.Sc. within IT, Engineering, or have other relevant experience from recent job(s).
2-5+ years of professional experience within IT Automation; either from operations and maintenance, or from project participation.
Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and requirements experience within the Pharma industry or other highly regulated industry (GMP) preferred.
Experience of the Siemens PLC system SIMATIC S7 1500, TIA portal, ProfiNet, OPC UA, and HMI is preferred.
You are proactive, solution-oriented, like to share your knowledge and collaborate effectively.
Ability to communicate well in spoken and written English.
As a person, you are energized by taking responsibility for automation. You are structured in your way of working and open to share information with your colleagues, work together as a team, and drive for joint results. You thrive in a multicultural environment and have an open mind-set. You have strong communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders and can translate strategy into ambitious goals with clear priorities.
