Key responsibilities


As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer within our Cloud Engineering Platform, you will be a key driver and doer in a fundamental shift in how we deliver Public and Private Cloud offerings. Your focus will be to build enabling products for product teams. Currently we are looking at how to optimise the way product teams work with changes and incident reponse.

Your customers will be your 3000+ closest colleagues in Maersk Technology who will trust this platform for supporting their business critical applications. We want to enable them to focus more on their domain specific problems and less on the technology infrastructure layer.

Responsibilities:

  • Build key components of our integrated platform in collaboration with the wider architecture community

  • Drive technical architecture conversations with platform teams.

  • Responsible for the product specific development, construction, test and maintenance of delivered enabler products and services

  • Be a member of hiring panels

  • Representing the Maersk team in external technology events and conferences.

  • Work closely with Platform Product Owner to understand the enablers technology needs across product portfolios, spar with the Platform Architect to refine solution designs and spar with the Scrum Master to enable our agile delivery


We are looking for


You will have:

  • Should have total IT experience of at least 5 years, which includes at least 3 years in the cloudspace.

  • Demonstrated hands-on engineering experience in several of the following:

  • Programming languages – Golang, TypeScript

  • Containers – Docker, Kubernetes or similar

  • Deep knowledge with one or more leading Cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS)

  • API Management / API Gateways products – Apigee, Kong or similar

  • CI/CD products – GitHub Actions or similar

  • Stream processing – Kafka, Kafka Connect, ksqlDB or similar

  • Database products –PostgreSQL, Mongo, Neo4j or similar

  • Automation languages – Terraform, PowerShell, shell scripting

  • Drive an ownership mentality in a DevSecOps way of working, best practices and Maersk strategic direction
