Power Solutions Quality Improvements and Processes Performance Testing
Power Solutions is the cornerstone of Vestas. We are proud to say that through innovation, development and continuous product improvement we develop the products and technologies that reduce the cost of energy and bring the highest possible value to our customers. Test & Verification in Power Solutions is responsible for meeting the future demand for test capabilities to verify our onshore and offshore products, modules and components both in the field and in our test facilities globally. We are the sole mechanism for propelling strategy. You will join +100 skilled colleagues in Test & Verification, divide into several sub-departments at various offices and test facilities globally. We are involved in the complete product development process from product requirements, definition of verification plans and test procedures to test execution and reporting. In the electrical area we utilize our full-scale test facilities and prototype turbines in the field to perform Power Quality & FRT testing, thermal performance testing, reliability testing, safety and module integration testing.

These key stakeholders are: Converter and electrical module, Certification, Power system integration and Operational readiness.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Electrical Testing Strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Define and maintain the roadmap to ensure the future generation of electrical test capabilities in the field and in test facilities supporting the strategy
- Technical ownership of new test facilities from specification to implementation
- Technical and team leadership across Test & Verification within the electrical area
- Contribution to the creation of design verification plans and procedures across design modules to identify synergies and continuous improvements optimizing quality, budgets and timelines
- Establish/maintain coordination with independent research institutes, 3rd party test providers and certifying bodies on specific projects, eg. Hil-GridCoP
- Be an innovative partner within IEC standardization
These key stakeholders are: Converter and electrical module, Certification, Power system integration and Operational readiness.
Qualifications
- M.Sc./PhD in Electrical Engineering
- You hold proven experience within grid compliance according to DS/EN61400
- Experience with electrical control, modelling and simulation
- Experience with grid connection of converters and compliance assessment regarding connection codes
- Having experience with laboratory, field testing and commissioning work is desirable

- You have a leadership mindset, with solid communication skills and the ability to coordinate a team
- You are eager to bring things forward and can work using initiative
- You are outgoing and use your solid technical knowledge to create value in the organization
- You have an innovative mindset and identify opportunities that new technologies bring
- You possess great communication skills in English, both written and verbal
