If you are an MD with clinical drug development experience, leadership skills and a passion for breaking new land, we have just the right job waiting for you in our Medical Department at LEO Pharma’s HQ in Ballerup.
LEO Pharma has set the very ambitious goal to become the world’s preferred dermatology care partner. To succeed, we have made historical investments within R&D and in the last years developed new systemic and innovative medicines for patients with unmet medical needs. We have a strong pipeline and a lot of interesting projects but we are far from done. And that is why we need you and all of your skills as people manager in our quest for new treatments that can make a real difference for people all over the world.
Set the direction and help your team to succeed
You will head 6-8 very competent and dedicated medical experts working with focus on major dermatological diseases such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis . Basically, your job is to make your team thrive and succeed. To do so, you will set the direction aligned with overall strategies, stay updated on all projects in the team and provide on-going positive coaching to each team member as well as the team as a unit. Your involvement in hands-on project work will be limited to support in busy times. Your primary tasks will be to:
Organize and oversee the team’s project pipeline – and ensure cross organizational alignment Define and follow up on performance targets Lead, motivate, inspire and develop your team Coach and guide on how to turn project challenges into solutions Be part of the leadership team in Medical Department – contribute to the overall direction
You will report to the Head of Medical Department and be part of his leadership team. You can look forward to travel 10-20 days per year to meet partners and colleagues, primarily in Europe and the US.
MD with clinical drug development experience and positive leadership skills
We are looking for a people manager with a positive mindset who finds it motivating to help other people to be their best. As part of this, you must know how to coach and inspire team members. Additionally, you must have a good understanding of team dynamics and how to promote and support constructive collaboration – with understanding of and due respect to cultural and professional differences. This calls for your good communication skills that enable you to ensure a shared understanding of “Why, What, When and Who”. Your CV comprises:
An education as Medical Doctor, preferably a PhD (not a prerequisite for applying) Experience within clinical drug development The ability to make decisions based on sound analyses in a complex organizational setting
