The APMM Safety & Resilience Function is brand new and represents a more integrated, simplified approach to some of APMMs most important business activities.
Made up of four teams covering Occupational Health, Safety and Environment; Security, Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management; Safety & Resilience Strategy; and Safety and Resilience Risk and Insights.
The function has clearly defined purpose to:

• Eliminate fatalities and severe injuries
• Enable Maersk to be a preferred employer
• Provide safe and resilient products and services to our customers.
This position sits in the Global Security and Business Resilience team

Reporting to the Head of Global Security & Business Resilience, the Senior BC Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing a Business Continuity Program for APMM in close coordination with key stakeholder across the business
This role sets the global standards for BCM across APMM, supports and guides BCM owners/focal points in the business and conducts assurance across APMM.
The primary area of focus will be continuous improvement of the BCM framework, support and guide BCM owners/focal points in the business in their implementation of the framework with focus on creating value for the business and our customers, leading the work to create a Business Resilience structure in APMM
• Own and manage our overarching BCM policy and ensure it is updated and that various standard templates, processes etc. are drafted and maintained.
• Run the BCM program for APMM with support from the brand owners
• Liaise closely with all BCM owners/focal points in the business to ensure we create One BCM framework that is simple for those working with it, yet creating value for the business and the customers we serve.
• Promote and educate BCM owners/focal points from both across APMM on company requirements and BC related templates in close coordination with colleagues working on Crisis Management (CM) and Disaster Recovery (DR) in IT to ensure we aligned on plans and not least drills and exercises
• Ensure annual test and review of the Strategic Business Impact Analysis (SBIA) based on the strategic business risks provided by the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team. Coordinate review and work on mitigation plan
• Provide support to the BCM Manager(s) in their efforts working with BCM owners/focal points in Areas and Terminals conducting actual implementation of BCPs and associated documentation and processes
• Take leading role in development (and later continuous improvement) of the Business Resilience (BR) structure including setting and managing the project team, establishing project plan, track milestones etc.
The ideal candidate preferably holds a degree in Business Continuity Management, emergency/crisis management or related combined with a minimum 10 years of relevant experience including + 5 years in business continuity role.
You must be a BCM certified practitioner.
You:
• Experience with business continuity, crisis management, and disaster recovery programs, methodologies, and applicable principles as well as their methods of implementation and maintenance
• Preferably have experience from transport, logistic, retail or related businesses
• Good stakeholder management and must be able to influence without authority
• Ability to work hands-on and support the solutions as and when needed
• Well-articulated and used to present or pitch towards senior management required
• Listen actively and invites dialogue for exchanged opinions, then influences and acts to drive performance and achieve results
• Build strong relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals
• Have excellent English language skills verbal and written
