The Senior Learning Hub Project Lead is your opportunity to drive safety and resilience transformation through the leadership of specialist project globally, to impact positively at every level of the organisation.
The APMM Safety & Resilience Function is brand new and represents a more integrated, simplified approach to some of APMMs most important business activities.
Made up of four teams covering Occupational Health, Safety and Environment; Security, Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management; Safety & Resilience Strategy; and Safety and Resilience Risk and Insights.
The function has clearly defined purpose to:
• Protect our people, the environment and our business
• Eliminate fatalities and severe injuries
• Enable Maersk to be a preferred employer
• Provide safe and resilient products and services to our customers.
The Global Safety & Resilience Strategy team is responsible for driving continuous improvement in our Safety and Resilience culture and performance by embedding our strategy across APMM. With Centers of Excellence covering Safety, Strategy, Analytics, Learning, Behaviour and Visual Design the team will focus on delivering global direction and solutions for our people, operations and customers.
The team is responsible for leading the strategy management, review and cascade process to reflect the enhanced scope of the new function, based on our Safety Differently principles. This will enable an agile approach to HSSE at APMM that puts our workers needs central to our efforts and elevates HSSE from compliance alone to constant care in line with our company values.
The team is also responsible for new tool development and implementation support to guide the business globally – through managing high impact safety and resilience projects to optimize improvement and elevating Maersk's pioneering "Learning Hub" concept to build an engaged learning organisation for Safety and Resilience at APMM.
Reporting to the Head of Global Safety & Resilience Strategy, the Senior Strategic Project Lead, is responsible for motivating, inspiring and driving change through leading and managing specialist safety and resilience projects globally, to impact every level of APMM.
Your role will be a key enabler of our pioneering ‘learning hub’ concept generating learning through projects you lead that can be captured and elevated for global impact through our innovative engagement strategy.
By developing relationships with internal APMM brands as a trusted advisor, you will lead and support them in their strategic transformation through project and tool implementation to embed our innovative approach to safety and resilience.
Other key tasks:
• Lead, develop and manage special projects including scoping, goals and requirements to enable excellent and impactful projects aligned to strategic priorities for safety and resilience
• Engage in the use of diverse and innovative methods to promote ongoing project engagement through use of our agile project methods,
• Consult with APMM brand stakeholders continually to promote open dialogue and performance focus in driving excellent project outcomes.
• Build strong relationships that motivate and inspire change supported by evolved soft skills that reflect our company values
• Support APMM brand deployment teams in all phases of project implementation for strategic deliverables
• Communicate effectively about strategic priorities, programs and tools to promote understanding of their purpose, features and benefits.
• Collaborate and enable support to evolve project iterations as brand requirements evolve and adapt.
• Provide subject matter expertise aligned to operational safety; management and learning from incidents, HSSE competency development, critical risk management, leadership for safety and/or safety culture to support the development and delivery of strategic projects and to respond to brand requirements
The ideal candidate will have strong operational HSSE project experience with relevant safety qualifications with expertise in operational safety; management and learning from incidents, HSSE competency development, critical risk management, leadership for safety and/or safety culture projects from strategic design and implementation to training development and delivery at all levels.
You:
• Hold a minimum of Degree in a Health, Safety, Security or Environmental discipline or Diploma in NEBOSH, or an aligned qualification such as Occupational Psychology, Organisational Development or Human Factors with 10+ years’ experience in HSE at a senior level
• Demonstrated extensive experience in organizational project management and process improvement
• Demonstrated expertise and experience in the development and delivery of high impact initiatives.
• Have excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills
• Have excellent communication and collaboration skills with great team focused preferences
• Have the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills including the ability to motivate, inspire and manage conflict.
• Have excellent time management skills
• Have excellent English language skills verbal and written
