The APMM Safety & Resilience Function is brand new and represents a more integrated, simplified approach to some of APMMs most important business activities.
Made up of four teams covering Occupational Health, Safety and Environment; Security, Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management; Safety & Resilience Strategy; and Safety and Resilience Risk and Insights.
The function has clearly defined purpose to:
• Protect our people, the environment and our business
• Eliminate fatalities and severe injuries
• Enable Maersk to be a preferred employer
• Provide safe and resilient products and services to our customers.
It will combine functional expertise across previously separate functions and integrate our Maersk and APM Terminals HSSE and business resilience teams.
The new Centre of Excellence will provide support for all brands with consistent and standardized processes to improve efficiency and knowledge sharing.
At the same time, brand leaders will retain responsibility so there is clear ownership and accountability for performance.
Global Risk and Insights group will be responsible for driving visibility on critical risks across the business, aligning and simplifying reporting, and leverage data to gain better risk insights and guide decision making.
Reporting into the Global Head of Safety and Resilience the Head of Risk and Insights spearheads the embedding and execution of the functional risk management framework and critical risk landscape alongside policies, COMMIT rules and Legal Registers.
You will be responsible for leading a small team of insights professionals that support functional and Brand stakeholders understand and monitor their performance, investigate trends, identify anomalies, draw conclusions from data and develop insights that support our strategy deployment and local performance needs.
You will own the functional digital landscape and is responsible for the management, maintenance and development of all functional digital products.
Other key tasks:
• Represent the department in context of risk management processes in close coordination with relevant stakeholders (for example, Cyber Resilience, Risk & Governance and Crisis/BCM).
• Own the process to define key indicators and oversight requirements that can be used to track and measure COMMIT and risk performance over time.
• Design and manage underlying data sources and digital tools to allow quick and efficient data extracts to support analysis
The ideal candidate holds a BSc/MSc degree in a relevant discipline combined with at least 2-3 years in leadership role in a multi-national organization.
You have experience implementing and embedding operational risk frameworks.
You:
• Must have sound knowledge of risk management and experience implementing and embedding operational risk frameworks
• Have good understanding of current theories and technology applications used across the risk/HSSE landscape and a curiosity and willingness to embrace future deep learning to further improve performance and to enable the next step change
• Exercise vision and sound judgment at both global and local levels
• Must be willing to tackle tough issues with tact and diplomacy in a timely fashion
• Have strong leadership, change execution, and cross functional/engagement management skills
• Ability to act as change agent through interactions with others
• Have excellent English language skills verbal and written
