The position
As a Clinical Operations Lead, you take on a senior role being accountable for all operational aspects of the start-up activities for a clinical trial. In this role, you will drive and conduct clinical trials for the benefit of our participants, as well as make significant contributions to translating our organisational goals into operational actions. (e.g. How do we include decentralised aspects into our clinical trials? How do we ensure patient centricity when designing our clinical trials? How do we design our trials to be most environmentally sustainable?)
Key tasks would include
In this position, you will have great exposure to the organisation and cross-functional stakeholders like Global Project Teams, Trial Squads, Medical and Science Teams. You will be in charge of transferring tasks and responsibilities as well as providing broad overview of things from strategic point of view.

About the project area
In our project area we cover the entire spectrum of clinical activities within Cardiovascular Disease, Chronic Kidney Disease and Alzheimer disease from early phase 1 trials to larger phase 3a programs and phase 3b/4 life cycle management activities on our marketed products. This means you’ll have the opportunity to work on both large scale and smaller trials, and with colleagues across our affiliates.

The position

Key tasks would include
- Responsibility for one or two trials depending on their complexity
- Participating in the planning and setup of a clinical trial as a member of a powerful cross-functional team
- Ownership for all trial start-up activities, from protocol development to patient recruitment success.
In this position, you will have great exposure to the organisation and cross-functional stakeholders like Global Project Teams, Trial Squads, Medical and Science Teams. You will be in charge of transferring tasks and responsibilities as well as providing broad overview of things from strategic point of view.
Qualifications
To be successful we expect you to have
- A MSc in Natural Science and five years of relevant experience, or
- A BSc in Natural Science or equivalent with at least seven years of relevant experience
- In-depth knowledge and experience in clinical trial methodology and operational aspects of trial initiation incl. solid knowledge and experience in clinical IT systems (e.g. EDC, IWRS)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills are needed to succeed in this role
- Stakeholder management experience
