Senior Director Biostatistics Business Excellence
We are looking for a Senior Director to lead our Biostatistics Business Excellence unit and to support the Corporate Vice President (CVP) of Biostatistics. The position
The Senior Director will report directly to the Corporate Vice President of Biostatistics and support organisational and strategic development in Biostatistics. You will lead the Biostatistics Business Excellence unit consisting of 15+ experienced and highly skilled people focusing on Digitalisation, Automation, Health Technology Assessment Statistics and Business Support. You will act as advisor and sparring partner to the CVP of Biostatistics and you will also support and be a member of the Biostatistics Leadership Team. In this capacity, you will drive and oversee strategic initiatives, you will ensure close collaboration and alignment with leaders across the organisation, you will support forecasting of future needs and contribute to the sourcing and budget process at strategic level.
You will set direction for the Biostatistics Business Excellence unit in alignment with the strategic goals of Biostatistics and stakeholders from units working with digital development, global evidence, pricing and access. You will ensure that Biostatistics Business Excellence provide best-in-class business support for key initiatives accelerating our ambitions.
The position is based in Søborg and as part of the position you will have interactions abroad and some travel around the globe to represent the area and Novo Nordisk.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we expect you to hold a Master’s degree. A good scientific understanding is an advantage, but not a demand, as long as you have a strategic business understanding, and are a fast learner. You have strong leadership skills and experience from leading in a highly knowledge driven organisation. You coach and develop your people in a changing and challenging environment, so they can grow, contribute and thrive. You enjoy working across an organisation and interacting with different functional areas. Besides, you have experience with preparing and recommending business cases and solutions to decision makers. You are fluent in English – verbally and in writing.
As a professional, you have strong organisational and project management skills. You have a good sense of diplomacy whilst still assertive and able to ensure progress in a diverse stakeholder landscape. Lastly, you have experience in interacting with key stakeholders, including working with senior management.

Biostatistics is a part of the Data Science organisation and counting ~300 statisticians and statistical programmers in Denmark, India, US, and via virtual work options across Europe. We take a leading role in developing innovative products for patients and we strive to be at the forefront of scientific methods and digitalisation within statistical programming and statistics.
