The position

The purpose of the Finance, Legal and Global Solutions Release Train Engineer (FLGS RTE) is to act as a servant leader and coach for the FLGS Agile Release Train (ART), driving continuous improvements.

The RTE facilitates Agile Release Train processes and execution, and supports teams in delivering value to Finance, Legal, and Global Solutions and the rest of the Novo Nordisk organisation. It is a global role with plenty of opportunity to connect with internal and external stakeholders from all over the world.

Key responsibilities include:

Driving, facilitating, and executing PI planning and other agile activities such as ensuring strategy and execution alignment, transparent backlogs, and program board overviews
Contribute to financial decision-making and manage the value flow throughout the program
Being part of the ART Leadership, you resolve or escalate impediments, develop effective risk management processes, and facilitate dialogue among the Business Owners

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • An agile mindset and are accomplished in driving, facilitating, and executing agile methodologies and activities in a pragmatic way
  • Be proficient in Agile and Lean methodologies including SCRUM, Kanban and SAFe
  • Experience in change, risk, and budget management
  • Have hands-on experience as Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, or Agile Coach across several teams, preferably in large, complex organisations
  • Have a Master’s degree in a relevant field


About the department

The position is based in Corporate IT, an area with +200 diverse and dedicated employees working in Denmark, India, and the United States. Our strategic focus is to drive digitalisation in the staff functions of Novo Nordisk in close collaboration with our line of business. We are working according to the scaled agile framework (SAFe) in agile release trains (ART) to ensure the best possible support of the digital journeys in Finance, Legal and Global Solutions (FLGS), HR, and Quality, respectively. Corporate IT is part of Digital, Data & IT, a strong global organisation of more than 2500 skilled IT professionals located across the world and servicing all parts of the Novo Nordisk value chain.
