About the department
You will become a part of our new department called Device Development where you will become the leader of the new team Durable Development. In Durable Development, we are responsible for owning all marketed durable devices of Novo Nordisk and develop variance on those devices. We help safeguard our patients by ensuring the continued safe use of our products, provide support to production and ensure compliance towards authority regulations and performance of the products.

Device Development is a part of Device Manufacturing Development (DMD) that consists of approx. 350 employees working in Hillerød. We are a project focused organisation striving to be the best manufacturing development partner of medical devices.

We are a department characterised by 55 employees

The position

As Senior Manager of the Durable Development team, your first responsibilities will be to take over a new device platform from R&D and establish the team in a new department. You will manage a team who will operate at the crossroad between development and production and be responsible for the device part of our portfolio of marketed products.

Some of your main tasks include to:

  • head up a team of 10 diverse and committed professionals and specialists
  • set the direction and support your team to reach their goals and ensuring cross-collaboration in the team
  • establish team and common processes for Development of Durable devices take over the next product platform from R&D and incorporate in the way of working
  • engage with stakeholders on various levels of seniority broadly across Novo Nordisk, including areas such as Development, Regulatory affairs, Sourcing, Global production sites, Devices and Delivery Solutions

As you will join a newly created department, you will also have an impact on shaping the culture within your team. Lastly, you will be working with innovative products on an international level and have a broad range of contacts globally.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, we expect you to:

  • hold an academic degree within engineering, pharma or any relevant field
  • be an experienced leader with a proven track record of managing a team of self-driven employees and creating a collaborative work environment within your own team as well as across departments
  • have a passion for innovation and the ability to empower your team to have a curious mindset to improvements
  • be able to engage and navigate easily with a broad range of stakeholders, to align and agree on strategy, to balance the stakeholder wishes, and to remove roadblocks for the team
  • be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
